  • @USC101cb Apparently USC fans have wiped the 1990s completely from their memories. Do they actually know that USC leads the series by only one game in the last 30 years?

  • @edenstore There most succesfull period in the last 30 years and they cheated! Saction on!!!! Cheat on!!!!!

  • This was the second biggest upset in the rivalvry. (First = 1959; 10-3 UCLA. Third = 1960; 17-6 USC)

  • Hey guys!

The monopoly is over in LA!

    Yay! Go bruins.

  • We will be back. The Bruins will be back again.

  • 7:15 make this rockin loud, I want them to hear this next door. GO BRUINS!!

  • That was the most clutch punt I've ever seen. 80-some-odd-yards to pin USC deep.

  • I felt the electricity going through my entire body when I saw this vid.

A great victory achieved by a great team. U.C.L.A. Fight! Fight! Fight!

    GO BRUINS!!!

  • it's been a disastrous season to this point (even though we STILL have an outside shot at the rose bowl), but i'll remember that win for quite some time.

  • We were at that game - 45 yard line. This video made me cry. Thanks for sharing it!

    GO BRUINS! Fight, fight, fight!

  • fuuuuuuck ucla! they are pieces of shit! big ones at that!!

ucla has the slowest, the fatest, and the dumbest of all!!

the plays suck and so do the players althought il them credit for their defense.

    usc for life bithces!

  • at least UCLA has 100 NCAA championships. And it moved up in the national rankings as #25 in the nation while $C is # 56 in the nation

  • We do not give a fuck abut WOMENS WATER POLO here you dumfuck!

This is about football not your womens water polo team

don't say ohhh we are better because we have 100 championships

if you 'ruins can't read this is about football

  • I, as all Ucla fans should totally be disgraced by the loss to Notre Dame (please

do not pay any attention to joebruin11-he knows 0 about sports)-it is time for Dorrell and his cohorts(assit.coaches) to get the HELL out of Dodge!! We need a BIG Name Intelligent coach! WAKE UP FANS THIS IS UCLA--HOW DIFFICULT CAN IT BE--GUERRERO GET A CLUE!

PROVE YOU BELONG--KARL AND HIS FRIENDS HAVE PROVEN THEY DO NOT!!

  • Hey! How is everything going? Wow, what a disgrace, as you said! I hope that UCLA contacts Boise State Coach Chris Petersen very soon! I watched them on ESPN tonight, and Chris is an awesome coach who would do great at UCLA! UCLA has to be the most underachieving program in the land!!

  • Man oh Man do you believe this CRAP? By the way nice hearing from u again! I know you comment on other schools and their qb's situations--though I think your heart is w/UCLA! I and u are ready 4 Peterson, but is the boss (AD)? I'm sure he is getting a lot of slack--hopefully! Dorrell resigning would make it easy on all, including himself! And please take his assistants! Take Care!

  • Check out the CoachesHotSeat website. Karl Dorrell is the #4 coach who is feeling the heat right now. And they say that it doesn't look like anyone is coaching the Bruins right now. Also, the list of possible replacements for Dorrell includes Petersen, TCU's coach, Texas Tech's Leach, Oregon State's Mike Riley, BYU's coach, USC assistant Steve Sarkisian, and Tennessee Titans Coach Jeff Fisher.

  • Here are my thoughts on each coach:

Petersen-He is my first choice. He is young and can flat out coach. His coaching job against Oklahoma in their bowl game was one of the best I have ever seen.

TCU's coach-He is only in his 40's and does a fine job while being in the shadows of Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

  • Leach-He is older than TCU's coach, but I like him for the same reason I gave for the TCU coach. Wow, his offenses put up points! That comeback against Minnesota in their bowl game was classic! Did you know that he was a leading candidate for the Miami job?

Riley-There is no doubt that he would get better players at UCLA than at Oregon State. He has done a good job at OSU.

  • BYU's coach-Is very young. Has done a great job bringing BYU back. His team, which had less than half the talent of UCLA, gave the Bruins a scare at the Rose Bowl. If he liked the atmosphere a lot, maybe he will want to come and be a part of it!

  • Sarkisian-He is very young(33 years-old) and has a lot of energy. Although he has never been a head coach, he seems to know the game very well and is doing a great job as a top assistant at USC. Ironically, he learned loads from Norm Chow while a quarterback at BYU. Norm had Sarkisian's job at USC a few years ago. And, one must remember that, if he came to UCLA, he would know Pete Carroll's playbook and strengths and weaknesses as a head coach better than any of the others.

  • Fisher-With Vince Young on the verge of superstardom and good things likely ahead for the Titans, I don't know if Fisher would leave them. However, Fisher is a West Coast guy(He went to USC), and, as they say, "there is no place like home." In addition, with Fisher's hands-on style of coaching, I personally think he would be better in college than he is in the pros.

  • So there are the coaches mentioned on CoachesHotSeat as possibly replacements. Petersen is the first choice for a lot of people. However, if Petersen says no, are there any other coaches on the list that you would like to see?

  • Gymman, how is it going? regarding your post

heck no will UCLA take Fisher nor Sarkisian(especially the way sc is playing right now).

I'm still w/ u on Peterson, let us see how they do against a decent Nevada team-irregardless he would still be my 1st choice!

SC sucks Stan. 24 sc 23, I know we lost to ND, but sc's loss was worse! Tonight Cal's lost, coupled w/sc's loss to Stan., Ore to Cal and what looks 2 b an ASU loss 2 Wash. GUESS WHAT=Ucla 1st. in Pac 10!!!

  • Wow! Good for the Bruins! I hope they can play past Dorrell and win all the rest of their games! LOL!!

  • Hey bruin2u! How can a team like UCLA, who is Top 10-15 caliber, lose 27-7 against Washington State, who is struggling. The answer is Dorrell. And, I truly believe that this loss may have put a nail in his coffin. For there to be any chance of his job being saved, I say that UCLA will need to win three or more of their final four regular season games. And, I don't see this happening, because they have to play:

    Arizona

    Arizona State

    Oregon

    USC

  • I hope they are planning a serious offer for Boise State's Chris Petersen. Because Washington and Nebraska will very possibly be looking for coaches after this season, too, and I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of these schools contacts him.

  • Gymman nice to hear from U! Unfortunately U R

correct in all ur assumptions! As I and u stated previously, Dor. MUST GO! Thank GOD that suc is in r conf. --talk about over-rated,

though, that is 4 another day. BYE BYE DORRELL-

U HAD UR CHANCE--- AND U ***FAILED***!!! TAKE

CARE GM, BUT DO NOT BE SURPRISED IF THE P10 IS WON BY A NON-FAV. TCHAU!!

  • Wow! A loss to weak Arizona. UCLA is now 5-4, and still has to play Oregon, Arizona State, and USC. I say that Karl is almost definitely gone. His only hope now is if UCLA wins all three of those games or wins two and wins their bowl game. The reason I think this is because he has an awesome recruiting class coming in Fortunately, I just don't see that happening, so don't worry too much about it. Chris Petersen, we want you!!

  • Oh, by the way, I must tell you why I think they hired Dorrell to begin with, and the reasoning was not bad. Dorrell went to UCLA, and it is always nice to keep it in the family. That way, if the coach does well, he will most likely stay there forever and not move up to an even bigger-time program or the NFL. However, it hasn't worked that way for Dorrell.

  • But, don't you worry. If Petersen comes to UCLA and does a great job, I don't think he would leave. Why? Because Petersen is a college type of coach. In addition, if a job opened up at a school like Notre Dame or Nebraska, I don't think he would go because he is a West Coast guy! Amen?

  • Hey Gymman nice to hear from u! Thank God Ucla lost today!!! I was just talking to my sis, who is a Uclan as am I, we actually both wanted UCLA to lose today--though she did make the trip to AZ. to watch the game(My BRO.

is an AZ. grad who lives in Tucson-though, I feel in my heart, he is a BRUIN)regardless my sis and I r ready for Peterson! GO BRUINS TCHAU, TCHAU DORRELL!!! Take Care!

  • Hey, Bruin2u! I just got this from CoachesHotSeat. "We have said it in the past, but UCLA should be a powerhouse football program. They have a great campus, they play in the most famous stadium in the game, and they are sitting right in the middle of one of the hottest recruiting spots in the country. There is no excuse for any coach not to win big at UCLA, certainly not a coach that is in his fifth season in Westwood.

  • In addition, they said that Chris Petersen should be their first choice as coach. And, if Petersen says no, they should go for BYU's Bronco Mendenhall. I agree with them. And I think that Bronco could do a good job, too. He is only 40 years old and is doing a great job at BYU considering that BYU is such a hard sell for talent in this day and age.

  • Now, about the Arizona State game. I thought that UCLA put forth a fine effort against a very well-coached ASU team. But, still, a loss is a loss.

  • Hey, Bruin2u! Although UCLA beat Oregon to become bowl-eligible, I still say that, the only way Dorrell would keep his job is if UCLA beats both USC and then their bowl opponent. However, even if they do that, it might not be enough to save him. Time to go after Chris Petersen. And, if Chris says no, I would go for BYU's Bronco Mendenhall, who is only 40.

  • If I'm so insignificant, why even bother to address me, pray tell? I guess I should be flattered that you took time out of your schedule to daydream about lil' ol' me, and not gymman all the time. *blush*. Look, I'm on the "DumpDorrell" train too, but the Dorrell/Guerrero (he brought us Howland, Savage, and Salcedo afterall) character assassination is petty, and there's really no need for it, IMHO.

  • "but the Dorrell/Guererro(he brought us....).

SYNTAX BUDDY!! BOY DID U MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF! IT IS UNBELIEVEABLE YOU DID NOT CATCH THAT , HAVING A JD AND ALL! Another thing u did not catch is that I actually like Guerrero. Maybe, just a thought, U should

double-check yourself(and I do not mean masturbate) before you make a reply! I want to make it clear to everyone, on this post, that you were not educated at UCLA! GO BRUINS!!

  • Oh I forgot--it should be character " assassinations", low and behold another grammatical error! Do you want another "DumpDorrell" should be "Dump Dorrell"

I will let that one slide--u get my drift? Now back to football! Dorrell must go and even tying for the Pac 10 title should not save him! The last 2 losses were 2 of the worst in UCLA history, in regards to what

should have been the quality of our team this yr.

  • Why the fuck won't you go and kill yourself now?

society does not need stupid people like you.

UCLA has a SHITTYYY football program and they will never have a GOOD ONE. USC and ND are the DYNASTY of NCAA football

How the fuck do u say your better when all you have is ONE National championship and ONE heisman to show how "good" ucla is??

  • Hey king, u replied to me, unfortunately, I think u made an error, your argument is with joebruin 11, whom I actually dislike also! Though I do not agree with your opinions in regards to UCLA, feel free to RIP on jb11!

  • Hey Bruin2u! Well, the USC-UCLA game is this Saturday. And, I am wondering if this will happen:

    1. If UCLA wins, they will keep Dorrell at least until after the bowl game.

    2. If UCLA loses, they will let Dorrell go so they can immediately start interviewing Boise's Petersen, BYU's Mendenhall, etc. Those coaches will be getting other offers, without a doubt.

This is just what I think COULD happen.

  • If UCLA wins....Dorrell gets another year...I think if the Bruins lose Dorrell still might get another year.

  • It is true that UCLA has a great recruiting class coming in. However, this 2007, which is Top 10 caliber, has underachieved so much. In fact, they have underachieved for several years in a row.

  • hmmmmmmm

    welll

    i have one word

    UTAH!

    ahahahaha fucking pathetic bruins

    making a mess of pac-10

    FIGHT ON!

  • bitch! go fuck yourself! cant change the past man we still beat SC!

  • ahhaha i know you can't change the past thats why you lost to USC 41 times!!

and we only lost to you guys 28 times!

also i know you cant change the past thats why we have 11 national championships and you guys only have 1!

so shut up and don't make a fool of yourself!

  • woooo so tough huh u probably sucked pretty bad last year. if u were so good how could u lose to us? huh?

  • if for you being ranked 2nd is "sucked" then i guess your right.

if only losing 2 games compared to your pathetic 6 losses is being "sucked pretty bad last year" then i guess your right!

losing 13-9 cuz of a pass that was batted down was unlucky

but losing 6 games like the dickless bruins that just means "you guys sucked pretty bad last year"

  • hey shut the fuck up condom! stop wasting my time! o and OJ got arrested again wut do u think of that? hes trojan and so are you hmm?

and some trojan bitch abandoned a poor little baby in a garbage what the fuck is wrong with trojans? im sure not everybodys bad but they sure make a good reputation for u guys

    We own ucla in football!

    FIGHT ON!

end of story go learn some spelling and grammar!

you are a disgrace to the bruin fans!

  • Oh thanks a lot! Really who uses a proper spelling and grammar on internet? Don't reply me again, if you do I'm not going to bother to check. Trying to keep my e-mail organized.

  • Hey queenoftroy, how did Stanford taste? BTW, "your" = "you're". Don't make me tell you again. Joke.

  • ahahha how the fuck did utah and notre dame taste??????

learn a thing or two about football

then start to challenge my grammar and punctuation use, and nobody gives a fuck about your wife

  • love this show

  • Love re-living this win, thanks for posting :D

  • why does sc play their fight song after ucla made the inter. i dont get it.

  • ucla will own pac10 this year best defensive in the land

  • September 15th timmoten. We WILL beat you!

  • ucla is going the pac 10 this year usc still overrated ucla/calf will knock off

  • Greatest moment of my life.

  • fuck ucla they are some bitches they got lucky that wont ever ever happen again usc all the way baby thats why they got they ass whopped against florida st another college i love go trojans and noles

  • usc= overrated like allways

  • Wow, you managed to sum up your entire collegiate sports team affinity and IGNORANCE in one sentence (w/o having to deal with those little hang-ups that English speakers refer to as punctuation). Quite a feat! Fight On, bandwagoner!

  • We gave this game to the Ruins...

I mean they gave up 44 to FSU, a dismal offensive team.

We'll destroy those insecure Ruins this year at home.

  • my sister was at this game n she was so happy that UCLA won!!! go ucla!!!

  • From what I have heard, Karl Dorrell's seat cooled temporarily after this upset. However, a lot of heat came on his chair again after looking unimpressive and losing to a very mediocre Florida State team in their bowl game. He has a very solid team set for 2007, so fans will have high standards. How well will UCLA have to do this season for Karl's job to be saved? Also, if he doesn't make it, who would you like to see as head coach?

  • I think someone to think about would be Steve Sarkisian, a top assistant at USC. He is a hot prospect. And, he would know Pete Carroll's playbook and coaching strengths and weaknesses better than almost any other candidate.

  • You're illiterate. Wait, let me speak on your trOJan level: your illiterate. Dogfight on!

  • You are the most ignorant Ucla fan on this post--you DIPWAD!! Dorell has to go, and no Gyman is not someone I know! Instead of thinking that their is a conspiracy against UCLA, you should see and note the problems as I did!! You and your ignorant opinions are better left unsaid! U R an EMBARRASEMENT to the true JB, please go into hiding w/your stupid opinions! By the way I have a BA and MA from Ucla! Do you fool? Put your head in the ash can and walk away into oblivion--do all of us a favor!!

  • Calm down, "M.A." a "J.D." is talkin'!! haha You're just a trOJan in Bruin clothing (read: screen-name). By the way, M.A. (= M.y A.SS!) "Dorell" is spelled "Dorrell" and "EMBARRASEMENT" is spelled, "embarrassment". "Their" should be "there". Need any more lessons?

  • When a fool like u has 2 give me spelling lessons, then and only then will I b a trojan!

Fool when u have 2 get 2 the level of correcting someones spelling on the internet--

then u really have ****2 GET A LIFE***, this post is about UCLA football--obviously a thing u know 0 about! Your JD stands 4 JUST DUMPED by ur girlfriend or boyfriend, ur anger shows! JUST TALKING! Oh did you spell that wrong--sorry!

  • A clue for the clueless: sometimes an apostrophe is used as a substitute for a "g"...pretty common literary device in modern English. Please quit while you're behind, carnal. You're the "EMBARRASEMENT" here--my WIFE (a fellow Bruin) is laughing at you too. Perhaps you and your future husband can whine to each other. Muah!

  • Sometimes ASS is used as a substitute for "ass-hole" or for "jack-ass", u choose either one, they both fit u perfectly. By the way Ucla lost to ND on there last outing-DID U KNOW THAT FOOL? MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE PRACTICING MORE "CARNAL KNOWLEDGE" W/UR WIFE, AND THEN FOCUS ON MAKING "SAAAD POINTS" ON THIS POST! TCHAU VIADO,DOIDO, BOBO E IDIOSO!

UR JD IS AS VALID AS MY BOWING DOWN TO SUCH AN IGNORANT FOOL LIKE U! XOXOXO TO UR BRUIN WIFE!

  • *their

  • that was one cool game!

  • Go Bruins!! Its almost as good as it was when I was there!!

  • I have plenty of differences with Karl Dorrell's coaching, but I love how he has them sing "The Mighty Bruins." One of the greatest moments of my life.

  • Me TOO!

  • I think that, for Karl to survive past the 2007 season, UCLA cannot lose more than 3 games. And, with the team they have coming back, there will be grumblings if UCLA does lose 3 games. If the Bruins lose more than 3 games, I don't think that beating USC again would be enough to save Karl. Who agrees?

  • I agree.

  • Though we have a difficult schedule this year, it plays out well, due to the fact that the most difficult, will be played at home. I think UCLA will definitely be BCS bound, if not, BYE! BYE! Karl!! p.s. if he allows that stupid jerk assistant to join the team, he's going to P--- OFF alot of ALUM, myself included!!! BRUIN FOREVER!!!

  • If I were UCLA, if Karl doesn't get it done, I would go after Boise State's Chris Petersen. He is the hottest prospect to move up and is from California. Did you see their bowl game against Oklahoma? Chris peformed one of the best coaching jobs I have ever seen! Do you agree?

  • Heck YEAH!! I totally agree, he is definitely the type of coach that would bring even more fans out.

Toledo was decent, but it took him awhile and then he faltered, Karl(eventhough being an alum) showed a little bit of flair in play calling--we definitely need more of that!! MY GOD-THIS IS UCLA, the recruits are handed to you, let's see what happens!!

    BRUINS ARE HUNGRY!! TAKE CARE!!

  • Oh, actually, I have another possibility. USC's Offensive Coordinator Steve Sarkisian has done a very good job and is one of the top assistants in America. Hey! Here is one thing to remember. He would know Pete Carroll's playbook and strengths and weaknesses as a coach better than any other candidate. Tell me what you think! Ok! Enough of coaches talk! I hope Dorrell can get it done! However, with the team UCLA has, a 2 loss or less season may be necessary for him to keep his job!

  • I think Sarkisian will be heading to the pro's @ the end of the season. No UCLA will never take him if available(STATUS THING) though you may be correct!

For Karl to stay w/2 losses, UCLA must be a victor in a BCS bowl--will not happen though due to bias, 2 losses put us in the holiday bowl. 2 losses and vic. over USC and HOL. opponent he is safe. 2 losses 1 of which to USC and HOL. bowl loss---he's GONE!! AGREE?

  • I agree! And if that happens, I think that UCLA should make a huge push for Chris Petersen. In fact, I think they should at least keep this in their minds and be prepared to do so at the end of the season. I know that he is a leading candidate for the Washington job if Willingham doesn't make it!

  • Well let us see how the season progresses, if it starts out badly, there will be alot of vocal fans

calling for Karl's head!! I will be 2nd, behind you,

in line demanding Peterson! Hopefully all will work out for us, and we end up in the TITLE GAME-- that would be awesome!! Thank YOU for your intelligent conversation! we'll talk more throughout the season, if that is cool w/you! Tchau!!

  • That is awesome! Great talking to you! And, I wouldn't be surprised if, if things do start out badly, at least a few people will actually cheer for UCLA to lose some more so that there is NO DOUBT that they will fire him. I am not saying everyone, but just a few might!

  • It's FUNNY you say that, I know for a fact that I always thought UCLA deserved an A-1 COACH,we have not had one since the fifties. Donahue(okay), Toledo(okay), Dorrell not so good (so-far),though I should be rooting for UCLA to lose (to land a top-notch coach) I CANNOT! It may sound weird, but that is the truth, I think many die-hard TRUE BLUE BRUINS feel as I.Needless to say--Karl get off your A-- and bring UCLA to the promised land! TAKE CARE DUDE, SEP. 1 we'll talk!!

  • Hey! The season has begun! BYU could be a tough game. Their coach, B. Mendenhall is doing a great job and is leading the Cougars back to being a solid program. In addition, he is only 40, and he is listed on the Coacheshotseat website as a coach who may be ready to move up to the next level. I'll tell you one thing. If BYU pulls the upset, I will add Mendenhall to the list of coaches I wouldn't mind seeing at UCLA!

  • gymman, UCLA looked great in that STAN. game--took awhile to get warmed up, Kahil killed! Re:BYU looks like it might be a close game-I hope not!Mendenhall is an option he went from 6-5 to 10-2, in his 2 yrs. NOT BAD, I'll keep my eyes open! What about Mike Stoops, I lived in Tucson, UofA has awful facilities--at UCLA I think he can get things going!

  • Well, UCLA was able to get it done against BYU, which is great! I was getting worried after BYU cut it to 3, but the Bruins defense wouldn't let them get any close. Also, the Bruins did a great job running out the clock before getting that touchdown to ice the game at the end!

  • Boy, I've got to tell you. PAC 10 Football is doing quite well right now. In addition to CAL, USC, and UCLA, Oregon looks quite good and Washington has been a big surprise. By the way, I think that Oregon State can play much better than they did against Cincinnati.

  • Wow! What happened against Utah? I didn't watch the game, but I am so disappointed! I bet the Karl-bashers will be out in full force!

  • Hey gymman- this loss was the most disapointing in UCLA history! Dump Dorrell and his cohorts. I hate to say it, but someone has to! Dorrell looked towards recruiting with his African American heritage, along w/getting assist. coaches that were Af. Am.--looking to get the best African AM. recruits-which worked. Unfortunately Dor. and his assit. CANNOT coach. TIME TO MOVE FORWARD!!!

  • Is it any surprise that Norvelle, is the head offensive coordinator at UCLA (NO, being a Black AM.), hell NEBRASKA did not need nor want him-- 6pts. made on a UTAH team that had lost their previous 2 games to cakewalks! It may sound like I am racist, the fact of the matter is these assit. coaches were chosen by Dor. due to their color, not experience--AND ONLY FOR FOR RECRUITS!! DORRELL IS THE RACIST, IN THIS REGARD!

  • Nice try, trOJan...I like the "dialogue" (read: monologue) between you and gymman--YOU'RE THE SAME PERSON! Get a life! Look, Dorrell needs to go, but the motives for your feeble, racist diatribe are beyond transparent. Let me guess: they wouldn't let you into UCLA? So you'll just exact revenge on the Internet! Is that it, sweetie? hahaha

  • simply amazing
