  • Blue Thunder takes on the Soviet union!

  • how do u even complete the first level wtf

  • @iloveyourtasteinhatz haha! It's pretty easy!! After a while I figured it out! Just gotta fly a bit higher and go in little circles so that you don't get hit! Then you gotta fight the boss and then you get to the next level! I might of made it seem a little hard in this video! lol

  • No wonder my cousin could never beat this game. It's Sega Hard...

  • You should of let that other track play when you input your name for the score...Its nice as hell

  • lol! I was high when I was playing!

  • the voices are from the game? they made me lol

Mode 7 chip was an epic win for SNES, this game would show better graphics in SNES

  • LOL!!! Sounds like me when i play when i am drunk!! Jaja!!

  • lol you got owned ^^

  • ive never made it past the stage where you fly through the tunnels dodging the pillars. maybe once

  • Thunder Blade was never brought home in arcade-quality form to consoles. The ONLY close, arcade-like home version was for the Sharp X68000 computer in Japan, which was sort of like Japan's equivalent of the Amiga, only more powerful. Thunder Blade on X68000 is like 75% of the arcade in graphics, which is far better than any other home version, including Master System, Amiga, PC-Engine and Super Thunder Blade on Genesis. SEGA needs to bring this home properly, like Galaxy Force II on PS2.

  • I like how the buildings jump up and down as they come towards you

  • However so long as they kept the same gameplay from the arcade, it was all good.

  • The master system version was so much better than this game.

  • i have this for my sega genisis and i just played it today lol

  • how do you max out your lives?

  • I played this on my 360. It's in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. I got to the Aircraft Carrier.

  • i got to the massive tank a couple of times maybe lol, im gonna get this again from vc see how far i get now

  • I used to own at this game

  • lol how funny i had trouble getting threw the 1st level also :P but the sega games bring back memories for me even though some of the games are older then me :S

  • you didn't eithen get to the masive tank

  • believe it or not , but i finished this game as a ten year old kid 11 years ago .. i still remember it...

  • ohh! yo tenia este juego en mi Sega Genesis!!!

  • LOL

Why not use Airbrake(hovering) by holding "B-button".

  • This game was impossible to beat.

  • I think it was a programming flaw...years ago, my friend actually called up the company looking for hints and a person there told him that even the designers of the game couldn't beat it

  • This is not even a translation of the arcade game.

At the time, 1988 in Japan and 1989 in the U.S., Super Thunder Blade was actually a new Thunder Blade game. Not like the 1987 arcade original at all.

The only system to get an actual QUALITY port of the arcade version was the obscure, Japan-only Sharp X68000 computer.

Thunder Blade on X68000 is almost as good as the arcade which ran on Sega's 'X Board' hardware using two 68000 CPUs.

  • it looks like it's just space harrier with a helicopter.

  • Ouch, just saying that I thought it was funny, T.T

  • no, stupid.

  • This is the most difficult game ever!

  • Yeah, i remember smashing my joystick to peaces against the wall,, hahaa

  • ROFL!!
