@SilverSon87 You can probably find it in the bargain bin in any videogame store (ebgames, gamestop, etc). Even then, it's very rare if you can find it. Your best bet would be online auctions like Ebay. Good luck!

Its 2012 and I still play 2k8 It's really the best hockey game haha When I play nhl11 to me it rivals even that game and I always just go back to it there is just something special about this game.

Man I really love this game. Started playing it for the longest time, & got to my second season in Franchise. Now it freezes all the time on the same day. :(

I really hope 2k12 will have better player models. the arena and everything that surrounds the game and really good but the player models look awkward. I don't know what's wrong with them but they look weird to me. EA's NHL has become a joke as they add features that draw the game farther from realism and they weren't even asked for.

good call venom, i just wish 2k had payed more attention to consumer feedback rather than what the critics had to say, then maybe 2k hockey wouldn't be in the situation its currently is, oh, what could have been........ maybe 2k should try to get the rights to versus and make it as authentic as possible

I really think the pre game intros are far better than anything ea have brought to the table, period!!! Also, allstar difficulty is the way to go as pro doesn't give enough of a challenge

@boznipper If 2K8 had 2K10's skating engine (minus the players locking) it would be the perfect hockey game. As it is, it will have to do until 2K (or EA) get really serious and do an NHL game that's true to the sport.

Great video Venom. Scoring never been as satistying as it is when playing 2K8. It's all about realistic puck physics and goalies. Still playing this game!

That would be nice to have on newer games too. I hate playing old ones 'cos the rosters aren't up to date. NHL 10 goalie bugs are really annoying. Lightning quick movement and overreacting make scoring either really difficult or really easy

If you are PS3 user then you can update your rosters to new ones from 2khockey forums. Fans of the series have been keeping 2K8 alive.

The 2K10 patch improved the goalies a whole lot from the disaster that were shipped with the game. They still poke check abit. Nothing touches the 2K8 goalies at all. 2K8 was a great game and the Custom Soundtrack was one of the best systems in the game. I loved that you could add goal horns to ti

2K8 is like a thousand times better than 2K9 and 2K10 compared...it's so sad that I play EAs game now 'cause 2K droped the ball on their NHL franchise

I thought 2k10 was pretty good, yeah the goalie dont look so good but other than that everything looks really good.

1- I noticed one of the big problem of the 2k series' goaltending has been the height of the goalies (they were unproportionate to the net). Do you think this major flaw from 2k6 and 2k7 is history?

2- Are you enthusiastic about 2k10's goaltending? Do you think the new slider meant to adjust shot speed is a step forward in opening new ways of scoring? Example: Alexei Kovalev in the slot, taking a wrist shot, would normally be able to shoot beyond Gerber's reflexes.

I don't quite know how to put it in a few words but... I've been pretty interested in the 2k series since 2k5 and it's really nice to see your video because me and my brother are very interested in sliders / replays / physics / eternal quest for ultimate realism and rewarding gaming experience etc... Now in my next post I'd like to ask you some questions about goalies in the 2k franchise. Btw I think these replays really show how the 2k8 gameplay brilliantly reacts to "realistic randomness".
