@rusbp True, however it doesn't really make a difference with the stability of the rotors. if the one of the rotors get's damaged, you'd get the same effect of no gyral stability. The downpart about a counterrotating rotors is that it makes up to twice as much sound as a regular rotor does. So your enemy would hear you from miles away. That is why almost no airliners have counter rotating props, because they need to keep the noise down in order to meet the standards at each airport.

The KA-50 doesn't have a milimeter wave radar like the Longbow does. The Longbow carries 1200 rounds for it's 30mm gun compared to just over 400 in the KA-50. The Hellfire also outranges the Vikhr by over 2 kilometers.The only thing the KA-50 is better is its 20mph faster and even at that it's a close call. Nice helicopter, but it doesn't measure up to the Longbow.
