  • Pan-kun(chimpanzee) & James(bulldog)

  • Japanese like Shiny! :)

  • the vending machine is from 2020 yet the ad is from 1990

  • I was lead here... starting from Mcgyver... -_-

  • Why don't you have anything to drink? Choose one making you better feeling!

  • Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • what is the amazing part?

  • @betterthanyourkills The amazing part is that over a quarter of a million people took a minute and twenty seconds out of their life to watch my simple depiction of one aspect of everyday life in Japan. Slightly more amazing is all the people who took the time to actually comment. Thank you for investing a tiny portion of your life to my video.

  • @betterthanyourkills Thanks for a very useful comment. I'm pretty sure you don't see this in Mexico

  • This is going to be the future of retail. You only need a minimal staff to restock the machines and collect the money once in a while. I even saw a picture of a huge Japanese vending machine with a car inside it once.

  • 0:47 the monkey is havin to good of a time...

  • You guys should check out the Vend.Love.Win. contest on facebook!

All users have to do is upload a creative photo or video that includes their favorite vending machine or vended product. On the last day of each month, the top 20 entries with the most votes will each win $200 for a charity of their choice or a $200 Visa gift card for themselves to spend as they wish. They’re also giving away a $5,000 annual prize for the absolute BEST entry before March 30, 2012.

  • I swear to my religion, if I see one more fucking racist comment. THUMBS THIS UP SO BITCHES STOP TROLLIN'

  • I've seen much more outrageous ones. When I was in Tokyo, I saw one that cooked noodles xD

  • @notnate2426 Oh, yes, there are far more outrageous ones than that even. I've seen everything from hot coffee to dried fish to batteries to pantyhose sold in Japanese vending machines. In Akihabara I've seen vending machines that sell used panties for perverts. I just wanted to share this particularly colorful machine with the world.

  • @PNWShawn BS here is the states you have to find girls willing to sell them, they charge too much!

  • It's Pan-kun!

  • @morph995 Lousy redneck.

  • i love japan too bad they haded a earthquake DONATE NOW :d

  • why doesnt america have cool stuff like this!?!?

  • Why don't we have vending machines like that in America

  • @xXandysixxXx yeah, sucks that we don't have them :(

  • i though it was going to turn into a robot or something and kill the camera dude lol

  • Where's the 200 page manual?

  • the vending machine has a camera as well, which can determine ur age and it recommends a couple drinks for you. so if ur a 40yr old, at around8am in the morning, itll recomend u hot coffee. :P

  • These kinds of vending machines with LCD on it are common in asia now.. singapore, indonesia, hongkong etc.. asia is booming.. lots of rich ppl now in asia.. emerging market with loads of rich ppl now..

  • So it will vend monkey or dog? How cool is that.

  • Dance monkey Dance, ha ha ha ha ha.....

  • @trixter164 people would break it into pieces and sell it

  • You know why we can't have this in our countries? It wouldn't last a day! Someone would have already vandalized it before you even had the chance to use it.

  • i would take forever just watching the adds meanwhile a mob of angry Japanese people are piling up behind me

  • so simple a chimpanzee can do it!

  • americans& canadians : HOLY SHIT. Them: whats the big deal?

  • @darrenshanfreak17 British people: Excuse me sir, where is the beer version of this machine?

  • @dodgykebaab Actually there was a beer vending machine about ten feet away from this one. Beer vending machines are very popular in Japan. Thanks for watching my video and taking the time to comment. :)

  • Japanese vending machines are cool, but most sodas looks cheap.

  • i want a toilet bowl vending machine.

  • That's so cool. It's like a carnival atmosphere

  • Was there a couple of weeks ago you see them on every street!

  • Can I like, LIVE there already?

  • this is over 9000

  • @evilnitewing yen? i no expensive *o*

  • In japan they dont have as many as the shitheads we have here so you can make put these expensive machines out in the open without worry. Also, they don't have the immigrant population in Japan to do menial jobs, so they need machines.

  • @goodbeerfinder100 Japan doesn't have an immigrant population? I found lots of people from Philippines, South America, USA, etc. all working there. Vending machines are convenient and cost effective, but they still have a 7-11 on every corner.

  • not surprised, those japanese people have PS5s over there.

  • This sucks.. they dont sell ponies or cars ...

  • aww its that monkey and dog! i saw a random vid of them making noodles awhile back and another where the monkey was a firefighter

  • Slot machine :D

  • So cool. SO COOL.

  • how come thr

  • umm did you not know how to use it ??

  • Lol silly japanese and there crack

  • i thought the monkey and dog were awesome! :D

  • i was there in 98, and beleive be you have to visit tokio yes or yes.

  • kay-sok

  • going to japan is like taking a trip to the future its awsome!!! would luve to go to japan one day... i love technologies!!! i dont know what ill do without them...

  • lol Pepsi Max in Japan is like Red Bull in America

  • not very energy-efficient.

  • thats a pretty norm one in japan

  • Not a big deal, its just cool theres an advertisement on it. A good idea I might add.

  • Now we all know why that they don't gave things in the U.S. right? Because we brake EVERYTHING we see.

  • @killercrx91 Give.. Not gave.

  • @asswipercocmaster23 Yeah and?

  • HAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA MONKEY FORGOT STHE THING HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • OMG the littel clevler ninjas

  • 買わないのか!!

  • omg pankun and james

  • THEY HAVE THIS TYPE OF VENDING AT cal state long beach i wish we had the 1 that coooks the food that would b hella kool

  • They do this is Ireland, but not many take advantage of it.

  • If I could do live over I wanna live in Japan :3

  • @javaxsqft Oh yeah, I'm a DB cuz you know all about me. You're the one devoting way too much time and energy evaluating the artistic merit of a video of a vending machine. Anyway you miss the point: there are many videos of the machine itself, this intentionally bad video was meant to show the commercial it was displaying, Einstein. GFYS!

  • The video is lame, but the idea is finally starting to catch on in other countries besides Japan. Coca Cola has been on the edge of this kind of vending tech for a while, but has never used it in the USA. Maybe they"ll finally do it here.

  • I used a cheap, no-name digital still camera vith very low-res video. There are a thousand videos about the machines themselves. I thought Americans and Australians would appreciate the silly Japanese video of the dog and monkey. Thanks for your in-depth review of this epic cinematic project. (p.s. it's just a youtube video, dumbass!)

  • Why am i looking at videos of vending machines?

  • I don't know; you obviously have a lot of time on your hands. I just post videos to show glimpses of life overseas to people who are curious. I didn't make you click on the video. Did you see my amazing refrigerator video? The mustache alone is worth your time.

  • lol every video about Japan begins with "Amazing smth." xD

  • @dragoon0248 make an Amazing non Amazing japanese video response

  • hmhm... this cind of payment isn't so new... i have this kind of payment in stores and vending machines. i don't know for your country.

  • In the USA we don't yet have vending machines you can pay with a cell phone. I know Italy has had them for years. The cell phone proximity card used in this video was originally used to pay bus fare, but expanded to trains and vending machines.

  • Can't have those in Australia coz people will just tag/graffiti/scratch all over it.

  • lol i did not understand that tutorial at all, dancing monkey, and bull dog wearing striped swaeter =?????vending machine use?

  • it's amazing because you put your cell phone on it to pay

  • woh, is it also a casino. It looks like one.

'Step up and wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin a drink!'

  • Japan is like the most awesome place so much different types of shops food shops are very delicious.

  • shops are very delicious?

    That can't be healthy.

  • @SaberTanker22 Weeaboo please?

  • @Johnnyonflame He / she is a "weeaboo" because he / she makes a simple comment on how they like the diversity of a country? You're a fucking idiot.

  • @SaberTanker22 hey try South Korea too! its sweet place!

  • Huh o_o?

  • I know shocking huh? Not every day you see one this big.

  • Ok...

  • Ok....

  • I live in Japan ;D

  • you're right, i'm truly amazed. snore.

  • why does the europeans and asians get cooler stuff than americans? or i havnt been outside my house?

  • Lol English dont get good stuff for like a month after the Americans get it

  • Cities in the US have lots of DVD vending machines at restaurants and grocery shops. Slowly and surely all kinds of vending machines will be all over the US too.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh amazing......

  • Sick mini coke bottles!

  • dance monkey dance!!!!!!!! 0:52

  • cuz the screen shows you the vending dumass

  • ここでは、この何ですか?

  • pankun and james

  • That's pretty cool!

  • Read the description next time. This vending machine can be paid with/through your cellular phone. That's what's so amazing about it.

  • this is normal in japan

  • yeah when i was there for 2 weeks there wasnt a place without a vending machinie

  • i agree i love Japan and got to say that vending machine was pretty sweet !!!!Love you asians :)

  • Ya, don't demonstrate it or anything....

  • wow i cant belive somone can be so amazed by a vending machine sure its all flashy and has pretty shiny light but its just a freakin vending machine you can sees them anywhere there just like the ones at macy's that sells ipods and cameras

  • OK, some don't find it all that interesting, but I've been to 37 countries on 6 continents and can tell you that vending machines are far more prolific and extravagant in Japan than anywhere else. There is so much about Japanese culture I'd like to share with the world, but you can't overlook the vending machines.

  • it's funny

but i think it's wasting invaluable resources

    gold, iridium, etc

  • its okai by them they run out we would be dead :)

  • i know rite asian are so cool rite?

  • rite rite rite?

  • So....it uses SMS texting to charge you for your drink? That's what it looks like. So, you get charged through your cell phone bill. Really interesting.... Wonder if this is what's going to replace credit cards. And how easy is it to hack with blue tooth? Very cool Video.

  • No, not texting. There is a stored-value proximity card in the phone that can be "recharged" by making payments. It was originally just to pay municipal bus fares, but the same card can now pay train fare and vending machines. We have this technology in North America, but I haven't seen it used in vending machines. Just for gasoline, convenience stores, etc.

  • why does japanese and chinese people always get cool stuff

  • because they are smart and work hard enough for it. that's just a simple fact of life.

  • Because they've got the brains, and the facilities to manufacture these things locally.

  • We have this technology in North America, but there is not enough interest in using it for vending machines to justify the expense. Vending machines are much more popular in Japan. We use the same proximity-card payment method at gas stations and fast food restaurants.

  • chinese people never have cool stuff

  • they always get the good stuff cuz there the ones making it there making wiis cars tvs

  • Simple Awesome !!!!

  • Why can't we have nice things?

  • Well first of all, here in the U.S, you have to think twice before making something fancy that the public can use because there would always be people vandalizing them. I'm not trying to be rude, but I have to say that Japan has far more respectful people than the U.S.

  • @gotpika Please never be embarrased of who you are or where you came from. Yes, there is much evil being perpetrated by whites and blacks, but that doesn't make us all bad. You will find bad behavior in every group. Be the one who sets a good example and challenge the stereotype. If you see a movie about the mafia, do you fear all Italians? If a woman robs a bank, do you say all women are criminals? No, of course you wouldn't.

  • @PNWShawn The one has said his words of wisdom

  • @gotpika You a joke...what is wrong with you

  • @gotpika then what would you rather be? white or black?

  • @Starrykid101 Black

  • @gotpika That still leaves 5/8?

  • your not being rude, its the truth, sadly to say, most americans are not very respectful to what they have.

  • Don't worry about being rude. Japan has the 6th lowest crime rate in the world. The people way more polite ten they are in America.

  • I agree, and I'm an American who has lived in Japan. But don't confuse being polite with being friendly. I always feel safe in Japan, but seldom feel welcome.

  • @PNWShawn welcome to the world of polite neglect my friend. I am Asian and I live in America and it is a world of difference being if you are Caucasian or Asian one or the other. White People tense up and become overtly polite but never welcoming. That's life I guess...

  • @EnigmaEternity what shity part of america do you live in

  • @XxXpOrChMoNkEyXxX Is that a rhetorical {?}?

  • Having lived in both countries (and some others) I would have to agree with you. In Japan they obey laws and generally respect the rights of others. However, I would also point out that there is a difference between being polite and being friendly. In that arena U.S. triumphs over Japan.

  • I wanna live in Japan.. Sad that only like 0,5% of the girls are hawt.

  • lol in some other video what is also in youtube that chimpanzee buys train ticket and goes to train with that dog he / it also have some kids clothes and backpack xD btw in usa some chimpanzee what was in pepsi commercial became crazy and killed some guy later ..but not in commerical of course

  • Japanese people rocks

  • hahah so wat it takes ur airtime 2 pay 4 the coke?

  • No. You have a stored value card in your phone that you pay to charge up. It's originally designed to pay train and bus fare, but now you can by drinks from the machine!

  • We already have this system in Holland for almost a year I think.

    Payter or something like that

  • well in finland you can buy coca cola or something and train tickets too but i guess japanese did it first some years ago

  • wtf! you didnt bye something!?

  • okay but so what.i would rather pay in cash. its nifty but its not the end all be all of vending machines.

  • Japanese people love monkeys.

  • yo can do that in some online pages!!

  • It's Pankun the monkey! That monkey is amazing. He can ride the train, make ramen noodles and, evidently, purchase soda from a vending machine with his keitai.

  • Japanise technology rules!!!!! I want to move to Japan!!!!!

  • ooh the glamour of a foreing vending manchine

  • There are millions of vending machines in Japan.

While it is(was?) possible to get papers from a machine, pot is still not available for the ill.

  • only the Japanese can think of a idea so useful like this

  • They even have Vending machines on the streets over there that sell cigarettes and alcohol!! Just try that here!!!

  • Nowadays in Japan you need an ID card to buy cigs from the vending machines.... guess too many kids were buying em.

  • it was changes.

vending machine recognize your age from your face.

  • then it changes again... you will need to swab your mouth for DNA testing and it will know how old you are!

  • anyone want to tell me what the hell makes this so amazing? its just a vending machine.
