Did anyone notice that one of the waitresses( the non-speaking one) was" Sally" from The Bold and the Beautiful? Remember when Tippi Hedren was on that program for awhile? Look how long she and "Sally" have known each other.

To get it looking realistic as possible, I color corrected and replicated the film grain of our material to match the the Birds. The rest was mostly rotoscoping out the foreground elements to put Brian and me in the background. Of course, none of those techniques would have worked without us watching each scene and knowing exactly how to shoot and light the scenes - for example, the angles are very important.
Brian made sure the lighting matched the Birds scenes and took care of all production work. When we had all the source material together, we went into post and I composited the piece in about 4 hours on Discreet Logic's Inferno.
Hey guys. I did this for a Halloween event screening in Dublin, Ireland back in 2000. I created several more composites of various classic horror flicks but the Hitchcock vid is the only one I converted to QT.
My cohort was Irishman Brian Rossney (he can be seen lurking in the hallway with the boom mic) and together we shot on greenscreen with a betaSP camera - yes, that's me with the chicken wing.

If the lighting isn't set up properly either, there's NOTHING that could have been done in post to fix it. Plan ahead.... and have fun!!! :)
