I have made many and I mean many of her recipes and never had a fail and my family absolutely adores her and her recipes. Who wants to eat margarine which is one molecule away from plastic. I'll take the fat rather than the chemical..thank you very much...KEEP ON COOKIN REE
Ree cooks greasy, buttery, food. I bet most of her rabid fans have never tried to make her cinnamon rolls. Her recipe is awful, as are her butter cookies which come out hockey pucks because of the high butter content. Her cooking is sometimes even unsafe. Never EVER add marinade to a finished dish. Marinade is full of bacteria and needs to be heated to a boil for 15 minutes to kill it. But again and again, Ree puts marinade on top of her finished dishes. She doesn't even know how to cook.
I think giving her her own show is a terrible idea. She is not a chef. She incorporates a ridiculous amount of butter into her dishes. We have an obesity epidemic & thousands of women are reading her blog & recreating these dishes for their families?? If there was to be a show based on a food blogger, there are better bloggers to consider: that actually write well: Molly from Orangette, Kim from the Yummy Mummy, and the author of The Homesick Texan. I would watch that food show.
@Skattebol26 I think the only problem is part of this 'epidemic' you mention- - which is the sedentary American lifestyle. While it doesn't apply across the board, most Americans are not as active as her family is...in all of her photos, she and her family members seem to maintain healthy, active bodies without the concerted efforts of dieting. So if you A) have a fantastic metabolism or B) lead an active life, her dishes (in moderation) shouldn't hurt you. If not...well, then...
