Trek bikes are sh1te. I bought that trek soho belt bike for $1200 and it's squeaks and clicks and is more noisy than my friends pre-WWII bike. Not to mention that the frame is very uncomfortable - I get NECK PAINS from the frame. I will never buy a Trek again.

@Porgot138 You must not know shit about mountain bikes !!! I still ride my '05 6500 30-40 miles usually everday and never have any problems other than a few punctured tubes once or twice a year ! Maybe you dont clean and service your bike correctly? Gonna get my first 29er in a few weeks, I would never buy anything other than a Trek!

i'm thinking of getting either the trek 3900 disc or the 820. I'm gonna go to a local bike store to test them out, but what does anyone think of theses bikes (are they worth getting).

I just got a trek 4300 and it is a 08 model no diskd it is realy good not ried on trail but is good on technical parts. Its realy goodI dont think that disks are worth it so much my opinion

If I'm not mistaken the bike at 2:16 is an old Liquid, which has been discontinued, not a Fuel.

Brought Trek 6500 for 999.99$ CA some where June 07. Right from the store started to have problems. Twisted chain link would skip gears as i would take my new bike for a spin. Not a good feeling. Then the hydrolic fluid leaked out from master cylider on the front break.

But the frame is good. Light N Stiff. Very Torky.

I'm torn between a Trek 1000 (Road Bike) and a Trek 4300 Disc (Mountain Bike). I know they're totally different categories of biking but i wanna go fast and i wanna mountain bike. Any suggestions?
