Interesting biopic but feel a little boring cause so much naration about Indonesian politic situation. I can't seeGie's "action" about his own words exept his open-minded about truth-spoking-freedom(maybe Saputra plays the character to calm for that kind of idealistic man).What about his contribution & how Indonesian people look at him?Is Gie a democratic pioneer in Indonesia?Anyone can tell me is Gie a trully a hero for Indonesian people or it's just it's filmaker idolizing for freedom icon?
@tereesha Gie is truly a hero. He was a figure of young Indonesian generation that could think critically about the nation and tried to make it better. He was very brave to write and criticize the government at that time.
