What does Bill Murray consider his greatest work? The Razor's Edge. The story transcends the movie. Great movies do that and take you to a place you have never been. This is a great movie. By far his best work and y favorite movie . Ever. Watch it. It is not a comedy. If you are wanting laughs and to be entertained, don't. I watch it at least once a year.
He's in Broken Flowers by Jim Jarmusch...that's a good film. I like Murray's choice of drama characters...the loser type...I can relate! I think those roles are more difficult than out and out slapstick, so maybe he tries harder...then again how much success is down to a good script, director, supporting actors and whether he hadf a good root the night before?!
Also -- Murray was also great in Wild Things! Plus he had a hilarious cameo in Little Shop of Horrors. And how can we forget Tootsie? "That's one nutty hospital..."
Broken Flowers......Lost in Translation.......and most importantly....The Razor's Edge...one of the most underrated movies ever....and Where the Buffalo Roam should be number 1 or 2 in my opinion.....
Broken Flowers......Lost in Translation.......and most importantly....The Razor's Edge...one of the most underrated movies ever....and Where the Buffalo Roam should be number 1 or 2 in my opinion.....
what was the film called he was in and he played a bank robber and i think he was in a clown costume then pretended to be a hostage. any one know cause i thought this was a good film he was in, i think ground hog day though is a classic. a film i can watch over and over again ,no pun intended ; -)
Charlie's Angels?! Get a clue, dude. You are clearly an idiot, but since you are a Bill Murray fan, I will leave it at that and tell you about a little flick called Where the Buffalo Roam.
What about Bob should be in the top three - hilarious evergreen comedy. Bill's deadpan needs a great script, great situation, and other great comics to bounce off. The superb Dick Dreyfuss was a perfect compliment to him in WAB.
I dont know what ppl see in Lost in Translation. To me it was under-directed, under-written, under-funny and pointless. You can't expect Bill to improv lines and scenes with people picked off the street in Tokyo - that's a misuse and misunderstadning of his talent.
Bill has a more diverse career and his movies offer more. But Chevy should get more credit for his stuff. Bill Murray is the better career though pants, I mean hands down.
I always argue with my dad about who had better movies, Bill Murray or Chevy Chase. His argument is just yelling sucks after every Bill Murray movie I name even if I know he likes it or hasn't seen it.
My top five: Lost in Translation, Groundhog day, What about Bob, Ghostbusters, Stripes. He is great but i would really struggle to find 15 good movies with him. Movies like Kingpin and Zombieland are good but they aren´t really Bill Murray movies.
I personally didn't like Life Aquatic. But I still give it more credit than Charlies Angels. If that counts as a Bill Murray Movie then so does Zombie Land...and if that's the case then Garfield gets credability....Dogs and Cats living together...MASS HYSTERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mate!! Do you even like Bill Murray?! How does Ghostbusters 2 beat Groundhog Day?! Groundhog Day should be 1 or 2 easily!! It easily beats Scrooged and Lost in Translation as well.
I love Bill Murray. Lost In Translation is one of my favorite movies. I loved Bill in The Man Who Knew Too Little and Stripes was great. Life Aquatic was a strange movie but I did enjoy it and, as usual, Bill was wonderful in it.
i totally agreed with this list except lost in translation should have been replaced wwith where the buffalo roam and what about bob shoulda been in top 3
Broken Flowers needs to be in the top 15!!
