a lot of times people do not understand the whole concept of evolution. culture does not stay the same and it does change after 60 yrs and it is also different from location to location. the music you people are listening is not the same old music you indians listen to in india and that is just fine because it is a product of years of interaction between tibet and chinese. pull your head out of the sand and accepte the reality of tibet is part of china

Nor, do I blame the Chinese people, whose government stomped on Tibet and drenched its unique culture with a coat of Chinese cultural varnish. Yet, my own government did the same thing more than a century ago, when it vanquished a native population, and created similarly gaudy shows, diminishing the real heart and soul of these people's traditional life and arts. Sad.

I have heard real Tibetan music, and it is nothing like this. China is overwhelming Tibetan culture, and that amounts to cultural genocide in my book. Tibetans would like autonomy back in their traditional territories, but how can six or seven million Tibetans compete with 1.3 billion Chinese?
Like the Chinese, I'm frankly xenophobic but this video has really got me hooked. The music is a joy & the performers a delight in action & expression. Especially, the percussionist. Very versatile!

this is the weirdest tibetan music i ever heard. i.e. assuming it is tibetan. the whole thing looks like chinese except for the clothe and partially girl.
the yangchen is tibetan..and the dragyen is tibetan..and the flute maybe.but the other instr.ment is chinese..the tibetan one "piwang".has a bigger.lower piece..
except for a part in the middle everythingelse sounded like chinese music not tibetan. infact they look more like chinese musician doing chinese music in tibetan dress. i hate it when the chinese try to make everything tibetan look and sound more and more like chinese
Really beautiful tibetan tradition dress[ i mean the dress is not mixed} and very nice to hear some of our old tibetan flock songs....love it
