Well I think if you stayed for that long after the game they just let people on because I remember on the news later that night people were having catch all around the place.

well all those people are employees of the mets. from security to people from the offices, they were all employees and their families running around there.

Well I'm guessing that at least some Die Hard fans stayed that long.
