I have installed several of the Eleflow 2SC2166 and 2SC1969 Eleflow replacements and they work flawless and I myself am glad to have found a reliable supply of some obsolete transistors. I still see people falling for scams on CB and electronic forums saying how they got a bunch of 2SC1969 for a dollar or whatever. Don't get ripped off. Get those hard to find obsolete transistors from Eleflow.
@MrRadioGypsy It's actually 4 watts not one watt so open your eyes and pay attention! - if you actually watch some of my other videos which you obviously have not you will see the same transistors being used in actual radios they are normally used in so i suggest you watch those and them maybe think before you speak in future.
if you clicked through from ebay i will confirm that the transistors Weazle66 is selling work very well indeed. Its such a relief to find some that actually do after buying so many fakes
I prefer 2sc2312.

the 2166 was always rated for 3 watts mainly used as a driver for the 1969 & 2312
true 2166 is found in your regular am transmit radios

1 watt on that 1969?
Did you try it with a heatsink?
Didn't think so . . .
Put a decent heat sink on it and then run that test again - please . . .

weazle is correct, the 2166 has also been used as a final transistor too

WEAZLE the 2166 is only a driver transister.
the 1969 is a final transister.

The 2166 is used as a driver in SSB radios bot also as a FINAL in some AM/FM radios which are rated at 4 watts.
weazle66 2 years ago
yes thats correct ....i didnt hear it was only a fm rig ,i was thinking the usual chain of 2166 into a 1969 final...
you ever tried modifying the final stage to a pair of 1969 in parrell thats neat ...just watch the Bias .....

Power meter is on 20 watt scale which is why 5 bars are lit on radio, output in test is 4-5 watts.
