  • That was a good deal on that sled sir! Sled has to have been rejetted to a bigger size when you put a dg pipe on. so currently. Its running rich! change the jets and it should stop fouling plugs and run better. Rejet to stock. The specs should be under the hood on a sticker or on the air box. Good luck!

  • @fordwillkillyou actually i don't think it was jetted, but i haven't checked the carbs i'll be sure to do that, thanks

  • why take out the studs

  • @rascles because they're old and rusting and could pull through the track. if part of the stud that's on the inside of the track cracks off cause of the rust, the stud won't have as much support and could put too much pressure on a small area the track, pull out, and make a nice tear. that's what i was told anyway and it makes sense to me, plus i don't need studs cause i just ride in powder. of course, all this only has a slight chance of actually happening but i'd rather just make sure it won't

  • Sick idle, I love that sound. I have one with 3600 miles. now get some riding vids

  • sexy sled and well kept that should last u quite a while have u put handle bar risers on her yet

  • @HighAltitude69 no I haven't yet i'll have to do that over the summer cause I want this thing to be epic next winter

  • @PowerRider16 she haz good bones nd looks like it will be epic i need to get a few new vids of mine to

  • i just drove my grandpa's '90 indy 500 for four hours, that thing hauls! lol, its only got 8,000 miles, and i might get it soon!

  • nice sled man shes purdy i have one my self a 1990 with 12842 miles and shes still going

  • @1polaricat thanks dude! wedge indy's are great sleds i love them. we have 3 right now and will not stop at that

  • @PowerRider16 why are the called wedge indy's? is that from the look of the cowl? is it a specific year or years?

  • @quincee33 yeah it's just cause of the distinct wedge shape the front end has. i'm not sure exactly what years but the first indy was made in 1980 and looked similar to mine. i believe the last wedge indy is the 97 xcr 700 and xlt 600 but models such as the 500 changed shape a few years earlier

  • @PowerRider16 ya really nice lookin sleds...polaris was ahead of the game with their IFS...not too mention they were the king of the triple's back then....great sleds.... not sure why they didn't have Temperature gages for their liquid cooleds....i know afew guys that had their engines seize....i think the red light came on too late.

  • hey when you said you have to get a screen kit for the hood where do u get them fom?

  • @PolarisIndyPower you can buy them on ebay. i'm actually making my own though. lots of screen kit's don't cover those vents on the side which is kinda lame so that's one reason i'm making my own.

  • Looks great!! love that gloss black. I also love the hard idle of the older sled. Can't beat the classics

  • Nice sled man. I just sold my 00 700 laris and got a 2005 rev for $2100. I still like laris better and all, but a rev for $2100 is an amazing deal i couldn't pass up. I just posted a vid on it. Think Snow

  • paint the hood scoop grates blue, get handle bar risers, or higher handle bars, should do an xtra 10 skid w/ fox shocks , and you could paint the low pro windshield black from the inside, or mettalic blue, but from the inside and it will look good

  • yeah i'm planning on painting the screens blue but i'm not gonna do much else for mods on this one cause i got another plan for a SICK sled!

  • nice sled man looks like a dec. sled and one question were do you get your windshields im kinda sick of my super tall one

  • it came with it as an extra but look for them on ebay

  • Best thing to put on there is some handlebars from a polaris edge! They are wider and more strait and give you way better control. I had them on my 1990 Indy 500 SKS and they rocked! Also had the edge throttle handle or w.e and a left side hook plus the 2 inch riser and its like a whole different sled!

  • you need some plastic skis to get the front end off the ground

  • looks like you might either wanna rejet so it dont foul plugs or get a DG exhaust ....lol

  • nah i'll just take all the junk outta the muffler lol

  • @PowerRider16 well, once you take the stuff out of the muffler, you might, still need to dick with jetting....

  • maybe...i wasn't really serious though i need this sled to be a trail legal sled so i might have to rejet it

  • sweet deal! ive wanted a snow mobile sence 98 when we had 4 ft of snow here! lol it was fun

  • Very sweet ride Keep up the great work man!!!
