I used to have this as a cassette single. I bought it years and years ago - I think at Our Price! Stupidly, I gave it away. I am surprised to discover that Chris Martin wrote it. Is it the same Coldplay Chris Martin? I think that this little gem is due for a re-release. I am not a fan of Morrissey - Siouxsie Sioux was never a favourite either, but their voices really do this song justice.

and btw - another interesting information from Wiki: Interlude was originally sung by Timi Yuro back in the sixties. Yuro was an amazing talent and is apparently one of Morrissey's all time favourite singers

you got me curious too :) ... I found a site that lists all the "guest stars" of Smiths and Morrissey covers, and it says that the woman on Interlude is anonymous.

a beautiful - and quite ordinary - pop song. According to wiki Morrissey and Siouxie had a fall out with each other afterwards which is why the single was never promoted
