It was probably a choice: make a new fourth season (and probably get canceled for real or risk not producing the episodes in time), or make a movie to wrap everything. And despite hating CN for airing the movie rather late...

...it wrapped EVERYTHING UP PERFECTLY. Quit hating CN. I'm thankful we GOT A MOVIE that...

@MultiSandstorm123 ...captured the spirit of the show and all of the running/lost gags from early/popular episodes being brought back like Eddy's brother's car FINALLY being moved, Captain Melonhead, and Eddy's brother finally making an appearance; which even flipped the show's dynamic on it's head with an awesome "Final boss" moment in the end.

EEEDY got a fantastic ending. That's something shows like Powerpuff Girls, Dexter, and Invader Zim sure can't say.
