  • Do I have to have a burn program like Nero or something? My laptop already has a DVD burner in it.

  • @rr7313 No you dont (as far as I know)

If the disc drvie is a DVD-Rom drive (with burning capabilities) than you just need to use DVD Srhrink :)

  • heres the link to download it (sharecash (.) org/ download (.) php?file=2278678) just take out the spaces and these ()

  • tnaks

  • Cant get true grit or the fighter to even open disc??? seems new dvds arent working with dvdshrink anymore any ideas?

  • @azrial4421 i myselft havnt tried any "new" DVD's lately...

But if you absolutely cant get it to work. there is a program called 'DVD Fab'

its another great DVD burning/copying program.

And its pretty easy to work out. should work fine :)

  • @reaper45693 Yup I used that and it worked, I prefer Shrink tho, there is a slight audio sync prob with fab

  • @azrial4421 Yeah most movies that dont work with this will work with that.

    I also prefer this.

I cant say i remember having any audio sync problems with my DVD's... But its completey possible. Check some settings make sure everything is set properly?

  • @reaper45693 What option on fab do you like the best for copying the movies?

  • @azrial4421 well depending what im doing it for. ill either do "main movie" but normally ill do the custom option and remove the warnings and adds at the start. so ive still got menu's and special features but when you put the DVD in it goes straight to the menu :)

  • Annoying Horrible Music

  • @pf1950

    agree

  • thanks, its was very helpfulll

  • After the backing up is completed the eject dvd and insert blank cd thing does not come up. Please I need this help to help my sister lol....

  • @shakooba hey, i had this problem at one stage. It may just be a setting, or when you hit back-up you may have selected the wrong option. Just double check the option you picked, and check your settings for backing up DVD's. Apart from that, when the DVD finishes backing up, simply try ejecting the disk and insert a blank one. Sometimes doing this will initialize the burn by itself.

  • @shakooba When i first started using DVD shrink, the backup created by this program usually never worked or if it idid, it would play as if the disc was scratched even though it wasn't scratched. So I found the perfect solution, I use DVD Shrink to decrypt the files then I use Nero to make the actual back up of the disk. Also in this video, it wasn't shown how to remove the regions and other important minor details. You want to uncheck the little checks marks under region. Ask if ?s

  • why would you throw all that music on this ved. i couldnt hit the mute fast

  • @guardian22553 lol, I originally had Wake, by Linkin Park. but experienced the problem of them muting my video. and this was the first song i came accross that was the same length as my video.

  • also did u select the burn using dvd decrypter option?

  • is there a way i can have the iso burning to the blank dvd as its riping, so that the image doenst save to my drive??

  • When i click open disc it says

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue

    No Disc in The Drive

    Incorrect Function

  • hmm.. try a different disc and see if that works. It may just be the disc because ive found that some DVD's just will not burn. Wipe the disc and stuff to make sure its not just dirty.

If not DVD's work it will prob be a problem with your disc drive.

  • I tried three different brand new discs that were all empty. So it's probaly the disc drive.

  • all right then, if you do end up it being just DVD shrink, try using DVDFab. i use that if all else fails lol.

  • no no no no no... i fishing encoding right then it says yerp its finished and thats it i press ok and it closes or ive tried ejecting it and it comes up " disc has been ejected " or something wtf? lol

  • lol not sure wats going on, but if you put it in a DVD player and the movie works than its all good :)

  • my doesnt eject when it is finished backuping wat i do ?

  • if you mean after the proper DVD is finished then: it should come up saying "checking discs" or something along those lines, just eject the disk and insert blank DVD.

If you mean after you have burned to blank DVD then: when it says it is finished, just eject the disk.

  • its sony dvd-r recommended?

  • hmm... well i think any DVD to burn to will work aslong as it hasnt got anything on it.

Recommended DVD types i cant be sure about.

  • Hi there, finally i found a dvd shrink version that is compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7, you can find it here thedvdshrinkcom(dot) com

  • Finally Drowning Pool song that is not Let The Bodies Hit The Floor.....

  • lol that song does seem to get around on here alot

  • cyclidic redundancy, how do i fix that problem?

  • im really not sure, ive never come across that problem. Just search on google for an answer :)

  • try burning the new star trek movie or like hancock or batman... thats when i get it

  • it may be a new type of protection against burning, but cant be sure as i dont have those movies to test lol. if i ever come across it i will see what i can do.

Or it may just be the disks.

  • hmmmm it worked for another disk though

  • Mine says error failed to read disk. wtf?

  • uh yes, that can happen to some disks, i forgot to add that bit. yer some DVD's will read others wont. Dont ask me why coz i dont know. try using different software for the ones that dont work?

  • its because ur dvd is scratched bad luck... its running at a faster rate over the laser and needs to be clean and almost scratch free.

  • thanks man this really helped :)
