  • Tim, Carrol and Bernadette singing the first verses of Easy Street!!!! I can dies happy!

  • I agree, the shot that went in the movie is much better. ;)

  • these 3....omfg they are amazing together

  • they made the right choice to change it, this was one of the best parts in the film

  • @sumwhatparanoid AGREED!!!!!!!!!!

  • <3

  • It was deleted from this movie but in the Kathy bates remake it was put in silly and random hehe

  • 05:38 or 5:39 ( depends where you start ) you can hear Bernadette start to say " move them feet .. " then the dude starts talking -.- anyway , tht sounded really good. she kinda sounded deep and really awesome.

  • Love love LOVE 3<3 I love these three and I love Annie! This is such perfect casting! Easy Street is without a doubt the best song in the show. I'm on my second time playing Miss Hannigan and I love singing this song with my friends who play Rooster and Lily <3

  • This explains the strangled performances in the final piece. All of the three actors look like they've had enough in the orphanage scene. I can't say that I blame them.

  • ahhhhh , Bernadette Peters makes my day , everyday (; i freakib love this women & no one can play this role better that her ;p no lie. Hate that i live in the time of the 1999 version. Bernadette looks so gorgeous & sings wonderfully.

  • UGH! 6:47 Bernadette = LUCKYYYYY BIIIIITCHHHHHHHHH!!!!! omg, I love you, Tim.

  • I would love to see the FULL video to this.....:D

  • could you send me the links as well for the whole video please? thanks ahead!

  • "I play by rear" Bwaahaha! Carol Burnett is soo funny!

  • Aww Bernadette is so young!!

  • Those 3 are why no remake of Annie will ever be as good. Who else could possibly play those parts better?

  • Lol it's funny how they kinda talked over the "transvestite" part when they showed him as Frank N Furter XDD

  • Comment removed

  • It's too bad they didn't at least put the full version of the song on the soundtrack, even if they didn't use it in the movie.

  • I'd love a copy of this too. Could you please send this to me as well? Thanks sooo much for posting this video! :)

  • LOVE this man!

  • tim curry is just amazing.

  • I would've loved if they did the song outside instead of inside bc it looks original but inside made it funny......unless they would've had Carol hit a pole or something since she tends to be clumsy lol

  • wow, this is fascinating...i'd say their gamble paid off, these three are some of the most watchable and charismatic comedic actors i've ever seen....!

  • tim curry is much much better as pennywise the clown

    KISS ME FATBOY!

  • I'm glad I got to see this, I wasn't really sure Carol wore a wig during this.

  • Omg they really should have left that in. Brillent scene :)

  • There's a couple times it looks like Bernadette is going to swallow the locket!

  • HI @eleanorpowell2007 thank you for posting this and how did you get this please tell me!! :)

  • OMG! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! This movie introduced me to Tim Curry and Bernadette Peters as a kid.

  • this is the last movie my mum who passed away later than year saw with me, was the silly want to be annie girl back then, but this is where i discovered Tim , and once I saw RHPS i was a fan from then on

  • wow compared to tim curry's younger ages .. hes gotten really big..lol no offense im just saying.

  • Doesn't matter he's still a GOD. A GORGEOUS GOD!

  • if i may quote my friend "he is the god of hottness in man form" yes, he was pretty sexy

  • They're so perfect together. The only part of Annie that I like is the three of them!

  • there all adorable! luv tim curry =]]

  • Priceless! Great bit! One of my the favourite scenes of the movie, 6:35 ~ I never knew they'd planned to do it outside with extras.. Excellent decision to have it be just the three! THANKS for this, reeally great stuff!!:)

  • HAHA we know ur down there listenin

  • tim curry has THE sexiest voice in the world <3

  • doesn't he though?... and those shhhOulders! Mmmm! Ah yessS! x))

  • Just wondering why was this deleted?

  • I know! I wish they had put it in!

  • me to

  • so yeah, 0:16 is kind of my life.

  • Tim Curry is the man!!! He never ceases to entertain me. Add a little Carol Burnett and a dash of Bernadette Peters and you've got yourself a hit song, IMHO.

  • I LOVE TIM CURRY!

  • Thanks for shaing!

  • "The evil Miss Hannigan"? A character with faults, yes, but I don't know about 'evil', since she does redeem herself later.

  • Yea! I'm sooo not evil! LOL I'm playing Ms. Hannigen in Annie

  • awesome behind the scenes snippet!!

  • bernadette looks so young.

    aww

  • Yeah, and her hair is EVERYWHERE!!!

  • you know, they were right in redoing it. ...but i'd love to see the first version!

  • im glad they did the version in the orphanage instead of on the streets! i like it better!

  • really?? I absolutly loved him!

I find he's much scarier in IT. eeeeep.

  • OMG YES! ---- scary:(

    he's an AMAZING actor!

    so bloody talented:)

  • I back up to 2:05 to see 2:06 when Carol whacks into the piano! Shes HILARIOUS!

  • What a great movie!

  • was this before peters signed on to Into the Woods?

  • yes that was 1987

  • wow, I didn't realize Tim Curry was that guy from Annie. amazing

  • so much power there within them as actresses and actors.love them all!!

  • tim curry great actor .

  • im curry is the sexiest man alive.

the most amaing singer and actor ever

  • Benadette Peters is so hot... so's Tim Curry! Mee-yow!

  • Omg. I just adore Timmy!

  • whats the song that they first play for a few seconds on here?

  • little girls

  • I love the part where she sits on the piano and say's "I played it with my rear" The look on her face when she hit it was priceless!! great video!!! =]

  • When she sits on the piano she's like "I play by rear" LMAO!!! I love Carol!!

  • Tim Curry was SO FREAKING HOT back in the day.

  • whoa

    rooster=IT

  • look -- nigel lythgoe at 7:17! He's saying that they are entertaining but they're doing rib slides instead of ball and chains

  • karsonroxxxo is right but he scares me in evry movie hes in

  • tim curry scared me in the movie

  • I always thought his character was an appealing crook (except for the final scene where he tried to kill a child, that is!)

  • I still say he's hot in rhps and this ^__^

  • Love Tim, Carol, Bernadette...Love this show, played Hannigan in 8th grade!!! LOL this takes me back! I've met Tim, and honestly, he was so sweet-you'd never know it from this flick though!

  • :O Really? Where did you meet him

  • I saw him in the original cast of Spamalot and got his autograph after the show, about early 2005

  • Wow your so lucky :)

  • You're so lucky! He didn't come out when I went to see it...so I cried. lol. I love him so.

  • The Scene were there dancing in the street was in the Remake

  • yah but the remake is pathetic.

  • It is i love Kathy Bates But come on stick to your own work

  • carol looks better with the longer hair for the movie than the short one she had in reahersals and in the studio

(does she wear a wig for the movie?)

  • No, she grew a foot of hair in just a few weeks.

  • Oh man, this was great to watch. On the DVD, they only have special features with the actress who played Anne and games about the time the movie was set in.

Tim looks sooo much better out of his outfit for the movie. So much fun to see.

  • I actually prefer the original version of this song. Where theyre all dancing in the streets and stuff.

  • Yeah! That would have been really cool to see!

  • I remeber seeing this!!! I would love to see the whole thing!

    It'as like I'm 8 years old again!!

  • I'd love a copy of this, whoever has it. Please drop me a line whoever does. Thanks. ; )

    xxxx

  • tim curry is mine and no one elsess

  • You'll hafta fight me for him!

  • fine lets go than lol

  • Hey, if your gonna fight over him, dont forget about me. I'll go kung-fu on your asses!

  • I'll be stealing his suspenders and whipping you all away with them. HAW.

  • my favorite orphan was pepper!

  • I don't think this scene is lost. The actual special has been lost. Sony, please put the deleted scenes on a special DVD!!! This isn't the only deleted scene. There was a different version of You're Never Fully Dressed and Maybe!!! I think parts of Let's Go to the Movies were cut too.

  • You're right, now I remember, the special was lost, not the original scenes.

  • There might be a copyright deposit copy on 3/4" tape at the Library of Congress.

The DVD was an insult. Hopefully an eventual Blu-Ray will have the correct aspect ratio and extras, including the deleted scenes (I heard some really good stuff was shot but cut) and this special.

You can see a brief glimpse of the alternate version of "Never Fully Dressed" in the theatrical trailer.

  • Thanks so much for this!!! I used to watch this all the time when I was a kid, Easy Street was always my favorite #. It's so sad the original version is lost...

  • Yep, I personally find the orphans a bit boring, including Annie, for me the fun comes when the three baddies conceive the plan and behave.....naughty. Hannigan bro. and sis. are really cool. It's so much fun to be bad in fiction. Easy Street is very catchy.

  • Yeah, the orphans got a bit boring in some places (and annoying) to me too. The Hannigans and Lily St. Regis were always my favorite characters. I love this movie version of Annie... the 1999 version is more true to the original play and good enough... but the performances to me are much more fun & memorable in the 1982 version.

  • I love all three of these actors. I never realized just how much Carol Burnett and her daughter (the one who played 'Reggie' on the tv series "Fame") looked alike until this video!!

  • That would be the late Carrie Hamilton. I still can't believe she is gone.

    Rest in Peace, Carrie.

  • Oh, and I forgot, the singing, the first part of the song they didn't use in the final cut; I love Carol Burnett's singing.

  • To be honest I see the point in keeping the dance routine simple and indoors in order to be more intimate, but I have to say I get goosebumps each time I watch the alternate take with the whole street dancing in sync., the leg moves and every single soul joining in. I mean, that's the glorious bit in musicals isn't it? You go out for a walk, sing a tune and everybody joins you!! (I want that to happen in real life)

  • Watching this... it's interesting because I have to think they based this scene in the 1999 TV remake on the original concept for the 1982 movie. Watch that after seeing this and you'll see what I mean. I liked the actors better in the 1982 version but the song plays better in the remake... just IMHO. :)

  • The street scene would have been much better than the indoor final number of "Easy Street". Great Cast....Wasted. Horrible Movie. Potential but the director couldn't make any of it happen. The Disney version was potential and great direction.

  • Then all the credit goes to you, tcfan123. There was nothing on youtube so I merely uploaded it here. Thanks for the editing job.

  • Sure. One of these days I'll load the whole special. I didn't realize that the original was lost by Sony though. I guess I always wondered why it was never included as a DVD extra.

  • This vid was taken from my Veoh upload website.

I recorded it on VHS when the special first aired on TV. I'm a huge Tim Curry Fan so I just included his parts in it.

  • This great! I love Tim Curry!!

  • This is WONDERFUL!!!!

    Thank you!!!!! :)

  • Recently cecilegreard provided me with this additional info: 'This video is part of a longer documentary called "Lights! Camera! Annie!" which has become very rare since the original copy has been lost by Sony. So the only people who own a copy of it are the ones that recorded it back then'.
