Too bad I cant use my air compressor anymore. Damm neighbors complain about the noise. Now i just use my shop vac since it has an exhaust that can be used as a blower. xD
Important point to remember when using compressors. Always regulate them down to no more than 65PSI or you can actually blow components right off their boards. I speak from personal experience in this matter.
@parahthemad I don't recommend doing that. hair dryers and vacuums and things like that can cause static which can destroy your components. I'd recommend using canned air or like me use a air compressor to blow out the inside of the case, this method is the most safe on the components.
@SubaruHyena vacuums do not create static electricity that is a rumor some idiot made up (unless you have a 20 year old vacuum that will create static [im talking about shop vacs] ) the best thing to use is an air compressor and i dont recommend using canned air, it just blows the dust deeper in components such as heatsinks, ect. and does not actually get the dust out of the case. Anyone reading this clean your case once a month but if someone smokes in your house once every 2 to 3 weeks
WOW you are the only person besides ME I have ever seen use shop air to blow the dust out of a computer Screw them air cans WAY to much money waste. VERY loud compressor though, I turn my air down to 25ish from 130 at 130 i might see caps fly off lol. I clean my systems all 4 of them about once a month
@Docthewrench Yeah well my compressor is from the 60's or 70's I think. it's actually nearly silent compared to the 220v I had before. This was at 80psi that's about the max you want to blow onto components like this, but to get some of that dust off I probably needed something more like 100psi

it's better you hold the fan all the time when blowing at it, letting it high speed spins could damage ur fan bearing :)

@parahthemad Also a hair dryer makes alot of heat so it could end up melting the solder and making connections go bad,
