His actions such as proroguing parliament which people within his party criticized and shutting down bills that the House of Commons voted for (using his senate full of people he appointed) tells me that he is not a very open and democratic PM at all.

I find this whole ad campaign to be patronizing, insulting and rather lackadaisical. This is a lethargic attempt to rouse young people to vote through a sense of visceral outrage. I hate Harper, despise Ignatieff, will never vote for a party lead by Jack Layton but shouldn't this have "paid for by the liberal party of Canada" at the end as full disclosure?
