  • the all the Aussie fags that hate America well who do you think created technology ??? not Australia well if you hate America trow away all of your technology and just use sticks and fucking leaves then assholes

  • i hate america

  • Aussies come see America! Come, see California, see New York . Then see the real America; see the mid west from Indiana to Colorado. See the real America that isn't covered by the news.

  • Please remember that Superman didn't stop in for Fish & Chips. He didn't want Frankfuters & Hefevisen, he didn't like saurkraut. He liked a NY Strip, and Chedder Burgers, and a Philly Cheeze Steak! He wanted the Enzo Bros' Pizza!

  • For all of you who think America sucks, put it this way, if there was never an America, there would be no France, Israel, South Korea, and there probably would've been no U.K. or Ireland.

  • Also don't forget about the Balkan War. There would've been no Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, or Montenegro.

  • well america always waits a few years to enter a war.. france, australia, UK were there from the start to finish in both world wars.. dont be so fucking cocky..

It comments like these that make people think you suck

  • Seriously get over yourself the gerries werent going to invade us after we won the battle of britain and we had the russians one side and us the other side they were surrounder yes America did help but they didnt win the war

  • Then again, we Americans have saved your British butts in World War II and in the Vietnam War. May the United States and the United Kingdom remained friends and family.

  • Right i like yanks but one thing that pisses me of about yous is how you think you won the war we thought for 3 years by our selves pretty much we didnt prepare for war and my great grandad was killed defending his country and then yous take all the glory makes no sense

  • yeah you know, I for got Japan attacked a British naval base in WWII, not an American. Sorry my bad. Notice how a war goes on for a few years, we come in, It ends in a year or 3.

And by the way, Germany was going to invade the U.K.

  • true they were planning it but the whole point of bombing England was to prepare for an invasion that didn't and was unlikely to happen my country was bombed several times but we still held out

  • @ProudToBeBritish100

No one country won the war. The Allies as a whole won the war. Remember that no one country, not even the US or USSR, could have conclusively beaten the combined might of Germany, Italy, Japan, and puppets thereof.

  • @dondonp12004 you guys started the Vietnam war so I don't know what you're on about there

  • @ProudToBeBritish100 The List goes like this in ww2.

The USA won the war in the pacififc.

The US & UK defeated Italy and the Mediterranean

The US, UK, and Russians defeated Germany...

  • @TheBestTroller hey Australia and New Zealand was there do I think you should stop watching miniseries' like the pacific which is chest-beating arrogant bullshit

  • @irishgodfatherchris chest beating arrogant bullshit is what America does best!

  • @TheBestTroller and what about Tobruk and Syria you seem to have forgotten us Australians

  • lol i like the aussie one better

  • its not girt its girthed

  • no its girt u spaz

  • Agreed.

  • Oh Thus Be It Ever when FREE Men Shall Stand

Between Their Lov'd Homes & The War's Desolation. Bles't With Victory & Peace, May The Heav'n Rescued Land Praise The Pow'r That Hath Made & Preserved US A Nation; Then Conquere We Must When Our cause is just & This Be Our Motto: In GOD Is Our Trust: Oh Say Does That Star Spangled Banner Yet Wave O'er The Land Of The Free & The Home Of The Brave!?!?!?

  • I believe the final words of the final verse are "And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

  • Buying bread from a man in Brussels,

he was six foot four and full of muscles,

I said "do ya speak-a my language?" he just smiled and gave me a VEGEMITE SANDWICH! AND HE SAID!

"I come from the land down under

where the beer does flow and men chunder

can't you hear, CAN'T you hear that thunder,

you better run, you better take cover"

Lying in a den in bombay, with a slack jaw and not much to say,

i said to the man are you trying to tempt me? BECAUSE I COME FROM THE LAND OF PLENTY

  • no, now it waves over the land of the freeloader and the home of the brave new world of Obama's hard left social and economic dogma.

  • How can anyone hate America even if we are egotistical we've did alot of good. not that that underminds the terror we're reigning now. But we've earned our place we've fought for it, im not saying we won't fall but even if we do we're determined enough to claw our way back up.

  • Australia first

  • I get shivers every time I hear my US National Anthem. Australia's is beautiful too. Australia is a lovely country. Nice people too. I pray that all our freedoms never go so far as to give away our consciences.

  • Two great nations

  • greetings to my aussie friends god bless!

  • cheers mate how are ya in America?

  • A-OK. Now, I'm in the United Kingdom, where I'm a two-year international at a music conservatory. I'm the only international student who represents the United States of America. I love the U.K. as much as I love the U.S. I'll visit Australia in the near future, especially when I'm a professional musician.

  • sweet look foward to having ya

  • anybody who likes to know, whats all about it... watch my page at youtube^^

  • The American National Anthem accompanied by warplanes and soldiers is appropriate. The song was written while Fort McHenry was being shelled by British ships in 1812. The Fort withstood the barrage, and the flag was still there!

  • Both Hymns are great and I liked this video. Go Aussi--Go U.S.

  • Did you notice how Australia's anthem was accompanied by images of beautiful countryside and aboriginal culture, while the American one had almost nothing but war and military hardware?

Showing a bunch of American warplanes followed by Superman carrying the US flag was a perfect satire of America's delusions of invincibility.

  • the reason that is so, is because te american anthem was written By Francis Scott Key durg the War of 1812. He was prisoner on a britih vesel when they were shooting at an amerian fort, but after all the firing and bombardment, the american flag was still there, showing the forst cooperation to america

  • That's not my point. If the British anthem was played, I'd hope to see more than one long image of the Queen regardless of whether the song is exclusively about her.

A video showing killing machines? How about the beauty of Yellowstone, the Rockies, the majesty of New York buildings, herds of bison, laughing schoolchildren... That's the America people are fighting for, right?

  • fuck yellowstone... you should be sucking our ordnance like dicks... it's the only thing keeping you safe from mudslum terrorism

  • Actually the Aussie clip is from the Qantas ad showing scenes from India etc. The Yank national anthem is I think sung at the right speed too often it is sung much slower than this and doesnt have the same effect. But the Frog NA has to be the best ...

    Cheers Bob

    a 6th generation Aussie

  • we all know that america is the most evil nation in the history of the world... thank you for this useless comment.

  • A useless comment which you nevertheless felt a need to respond to.

Besides, I never said America was evil. I don't even believe that to be the case. I said they're over-militarized and have an exaggerated impression of their own supremacy. That's a dangerous flaw for them.

  • what i love about this great country is everyone in this world, deep down in their soul... wish that they were Australian

They are jelous of our weather, our lifestyle, our sporting prowess, our beaches... everything!

there there, not everyone can be Australian, thats why we live in the 'Lucky Country'

  • ur an idiot

  • alright im an american and i just want to say not all of us have negative views of other peoples and countries dont believe in what u see on tv its all media and for americans on youtube u have a problem with other countries get over keep your bullshit to yourself.

  • the aussie legal system basically only holds the english monarchy as a figurehead, although it remains contentious, we had a referrendum a few years ago to change the australian constitution to become a republic. however this failed and most of us moved on with varying opinions. as for our anthem- well thats a similar story, some also want that changed. our flag on the other hand- people have died fighting for it. it represents us and our heritage!

  • My Gawd! Australia is still under the yoke of Capital and the Crown???

I learn something new each day.

Hmmm. There must be some huge number of Oz-folks fleeing to other countries every day. Maybe as many as try their best to leave Cuba each day.

  • The world needs the Anglo-Aussie-American alliance. Let it last a thousand years.

  • LOL superman

  • australian anthem sounds like a bit of knees up to me.should be about beer drinking and the fact they have only invented 1 item in the worlds history, the rotary washing line lol hahahahahahaha

  • what about penicillin, the bionic ear?

both were developed at the university of melbourne, AUSTRALIA

  • America has a very powerful anthem

  • Amen to that!

  • What a disgusting flag Australia has. With it's people still under the thumb of monarchy and capitalism.

  • The flag represents Australia's language and legal system Britain's monarchy has very little control over Australia as she is a constitutional monarchy perhaps you should read the poem Our Australian Flag

  • it represents, our british heritage (ok perhaps its a little out dated), and the southern cross to australians represents a number of things.the southern cross represents one of the defining moments in australian history- the eureka stockade where the australian way of a free go for ALL was born!

  • It's the flag of their law and their language perhaps you should read the poem "our Australian flag

  • We are not under capitilism you dumb prick and some of us love our flag and your british heritage

  • my my what alot you have to learn

  • have you ever even been to australia. the queen is only a figure head, she has almost zero control over australia. as for our flag, thousands of innocent men and women have faught under it, some never returning home. in addition we continue to fight alongside america in its war on terrorism.

  • i agree Chile and Brazil are very beautiful countries. but then again i am half Chilean

  • Don't you all notice that people tend to like the anthem of their own country or that of their ancestors? Not all, but most I would say. I would prefer America the Beautiful to the current anthem, but after having been to Brasil, and google earthing it all over So.America, I would have to say Brazil, Chile and Argentina are the most beautiful countries in all the Americas. God or Mother Nature did an incredible job down there! lol

  • No disrespect, but even though the tune of "The Star-Spangled Banner" was borrowed from the British drinking song "To Anacreon in Heaven", I want "The Star-Spangled Banner" to remain the official national anthem of the United States of America, especially for newer generations of Americans. Besides, the United States is one of the most countries that gain independence from the United Kingdom.

  • The tune was not borrowed, it was used. Perhaps the music industry has brainwashed you into thinking that a tune can only be used for one song for all time or else it's a ripoff. It was very common for songs in the 18th and 19th centuries to be set to the same tune.

  • Next to the Star Spangled Banner, the best national anthem, by far, is the former anthem of the Soviet Union.

  • which has been the national anthem of Russia since 2000.

  • Superman? What does a superhero have to do with nationalism? What next, Jesus?

  • Superman is a fictional character, I know that. He fights for "truth, justice and the American way."

  • GOD BLESS AUSTRALIA AND AMERICA !

  • Agreed! Say "hi" to my cousins in Perth and on Tasmania!

  • God Save the Queen is too much a hymn (slow, boring, words sung directly on the beat almost as though it were a "march"), and muscially speaking, quite a simple little song. When you pick up the tempo, add drums and a synthesizer, it then becomes God Save the Queen of Disco, which is my favorite version because I love Donna Summer.

  • My comment still stands- the the bombs and rockets of 1812-1814 are very different than today, so not correct to show modern warfare film with that song- the song was about freedom and national pride. It is not a "conquerer's" song, but a song written while America defended herself (the Brits were the ones with the big bombs & rockets).

  • Australia's anthem sounds like a commercial for the travel industry - incredible video though - loved that. The US Anthem is powerful, perhaps too military for this day and age, as that was written while the US was fighting for its own independence - the rockets and bombs of those days were very different and not fair to show the modern destruction along with this old song -- maybe time for a new anthem?

  • Well, to be honest, I just want "The Star-Spangled Banner" to remain the official national anthem of the United States of America, even though it's sung to the British drinking song "To Anacreon in Heaven".

  • The US one came from the Civil War. Not their snit for independence.

  • WRONG. - NOT the Civil War. It was the war of 1812 with the British over attempts to regulate American shipping while Britain was at war with France ... British captured the capital, Washington. New rockets and bombs were used by the British ...After a big battle on 9/14/181 ... in predawn darkness, Francis Scott Key waited ... and the flag was still there!

  • correction: "...on 9/14/1814 ... in predawn darkness..."

The Civil War. Ha! So there were rockets flying over cotton fields when Francis Scott Key wrote the US Anthem .... ROFL.

  • Yes, that's why the White House is white - they had to paint it after we burned it! :)

  • Actually not during independence but in war of 1812

  • The anthem of the United States of America has always been my 2nd favorite anthem. The most beautiful anthem in the world is the national anthem of the Republic of Poland. I am so proud to be part of the amazing country.

    Poland is my soul!

  • I like Kangaroos... they are funny

  • Actually these are two of my most favourite natioanl anthems, right behind Flower of Scotland and God Save The Queen. I don't know why, but our national anthem here in Canada just doesn't have the same sort of energy.

  • Well, Scotland is the constituent country of the United Kingdom, as is England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Like I said, "God Save The Queen" is more than just the British national anthem, but also the royal anthem of the Commonwealth of Nations. The first verse is more easier than any verse of any national anthem, even "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "O Canada" combined.

  • I still love "God Save The Queen" too. BUt at her age, how much longer till it's "God Save the King" and chuckles is on the throne.

  • jesus, the footage shown throughout Australia's anthem is from another song called "I still call Australia Home" from the Boy From Oz. Its the best song ever and i still get tingles everytime i watch it.

I suppose the American one has a catchy tune to it lol

  • Yes, I know. I used these clips from the Qantas commercial for the music videos of both national anthems. My apologies to Qantas and other companies that I've used footages for. Please forgive me! It's just "fan-made".

  • haha no its really good actually. get editing and stuff :)

  • LOL. You're funny. I ove the Aussie footage - so they lifted it from another song ... I like Olivia's Aussie song ... if you have heard that ... America's anthem ... catchy? LOL. Not really catchy - dramatic, yes; powerful, yes; too much war and bombs in it, yes; was it about conquering or earning one's own freedom -- Freedom ... but I think it is outdated and we should just use the Boy from Oz song until we come up with a new one. Okay? lol

  • yeah i agree the american national anthem is too powerful. Why can't it be more cathchy. you guys should listen to Italy. It makes u want to dance.

  • its good, but the part with superman sucked.

  • I thought the part with Superman was the best part.

Did you notice how Australia's anthem was accompanied by images of beautiful countryside and aboriginal culture, while the American one had almost nothing but war and military hardware?

Having a bunch of warplanes followed by Superman carrying the US flag was a perfect satire of America's delusions of invincibility.

  • i have to say that hearing all these national anthems i think britian still has the best one

  • Yes, "God Save The Queen". More than just the British national anthem, but also the royal anthem of the Commonwealth of Nations. The first verse is more easier than any verse of any national anthem, even "The Star-Spangled Banner".

  • its an ok anthem...... but STAR SPANGLED BANNER is about freedom and independence, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN is about ONE person.

  • I do not disagree - however, I only like it when it is God Save the Queen. I don't like it as well when it is God Save the King. Having a King takes on a different c0nnotation for some reason- perhaps it is because my whole life there has only been HRM Elizabeth II ??
