This is the kind of video all of America needs to watch. So many people don't understand what it means to help and really how much they need it. This is such a moving video, and song.
I'm coming to Montreal on the 17th to see you! I can't wait!
This is the perfect song for the devastation in Haiti!
The 1st time I heard, "Hey World: Don't Give Up" I balled my eyes out, for so many different reason. And today, 99.9% of the time those same tears fill my eyes, for even more horrific reasons. I might cry like a baby, but since the Fall of 2008, this song keeps me positive!
OMG!! Wht a coincidence! Soon after the earthquake in Haiti, I really wanted 2 create a video in dedications to the Haitians. I had about 6 songs but I narrowed it down to 'Hey World (Dont Give Up)' and actually just posted the video yesterday. I was coming here 2 thank U (Michael Franti) so much for that beautiful songs that speaks volumes about the human spirit and compassion. I jst now realized that you had created the same video 4 the pple of Haiti. Thank U so much.
As I watch this video, I ask myself why the guns? I don't understand it. This was and fore most a powerful messages for all people to see. When disaster strikes it will truly wake up a lot of us. Thanks for the wake up call.
So powerful...and though difficult to watch, we have to remember that our worst nightmares are another's reality. "Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight!" Albert Schweitzer
Man, that's the 3rd time I've watched this today and I still get a tear and a lump in my throat. If you're curious, CARE has been in Haiti since 1954 and has distributed aid to more than 32,000 Haitians (as of Jan. 25). CARE will be there long into the rebuilding. Along with Michael & Spearhead, thanks for any support you can give!
You're awesome, Michael. You are living the change! Peace and love! You make a difference in this world. You are a vessel of love! We are all one and will stand together.
canada b.c in the near future weve been over due for a earthquake for 700 years the last "big one" was just under 8.5 and made the orphan tsunami in japan and when it happens im not staying in the city running to the forest at least there theres a better chance
To everyone.. Remember that we are one. just think if this is What happened to you.. how would you feel? I hope everyone does something or even something little, what ever you are capable of... lending a hand, contributing money, etc. It could mean a world of difference if everyone gave a little and a the little pieces will sum up to the healing and restoration need for change and peace.
This seriously brings tears to my eyes. These people need help, natural disasters are devastating. I hope people help to stop the violence and contribute what they can to create peace and help to Haiti.
Big ups to you Michael~ keep on doing what you do by helping make people become aware of what really is going on and that help is needed. You inspire a lot of people, and you are an awesome & amazing man for doing what you through you music. You open people's eyes to what really goes on, building strength and awareness, and reaching out the best you can to help those in need!.
