Поэтому когда он выростет и начнет нападать, защищая территорию, вам либо придется уехать и оставить манула обитать у вас дома без вас, либо усыпить или отдать в зоопарк! НЕ МУЧАЙТЕ ЖИВОТНЫХ!!!!

The adult Pallas Cats carry some sort of parasite that doesn't bother them, but though they do have 5 or 6 kittens (after a once a year mating), the kittens are vulnerable and usually don't survive. They have to be fed domestic cat's milk and are often nursed by domestics. I just saw that you a YouTube vid. I never heard of them before today.

A close up of the kittens face looks like some cartoon character, but I can't think of who.

@2mirrorcats2 Close, but not exactly - kittens are vulnerable to toxoplasmosis, a common disease of domestic cats, but not typical for pallas' cat. If an adult pallas' cat catches the disease she might be ok, but kittens are likely to die because pallas' cats don't have natural immune defence against it. Domestic cats free from parasite are used to nurse kittens if there's a risk of their biological mother being infected.

What a cute and interesting little kitty. His face isn't really pretty, but he's got a thick, interesting and unusual body, and his coat is like a very thick tiger coat. He seemed like a regular little kitty, sweet and playful. Why haven't these kitties been mixed into the domestic cat gene pool?

Um, because they're one of the rarest cats on Earth, that's why. There's so few of 'em in captivity, and from what I understand that because they only come into season once a year they don't breed all that well in a confined environment. On top of that, I've also been told that they've got a pretty nasty temperment which would probably render any babies resulting from a mating with a domestic untameble. Beautiful feline and probably one of the most unusual looking!

From what I read they breed pretty well and a cat gives birth to three four or five kittens. The problem is that they do not survive in captivity very well because of a weak immune system.

Their immune system didn't develop probably because they come from isolated areas with not many infections.

and for those who say owning wild cats is wrong, i have a feeling this is at a preserve or rescuse due to the fact it is highly illigal to own a pallas cat as a pet due to how rare they are and i am sure this kitten is no exception

no this cat is NOT a mix of wild cats it is an actual breed called a pallas' cat, it is extremely rare and can be found in certain parts of asia..the cat santuary near my house just had a litter of 6 kittens born there but because 4 normally only survive the keepers took two fromt he mother to hand feed and care for, all 6 are doing well :)

If this is a wild cat (from the wild, like snow leopard, ocelot, whatever) this shouldn't be promoted anywhere. Wild belongs in the wild. Leave it that way.
