At the end when they where showing the pictures I freaked out a bit going, "Wait where's Jade!?" then I realized she was the one taking the pictures so of course she wouldn't be in the shots.
I just finished the game had trouble with the final boss had problems with the controls responding to the reverse I would hit right to go left and she would just stand there. Overall a great game 5/5

The very best game that I have ever played my life, love it! Beautiful music, amazing atmosphere, it's a milestone in videogames! I mean this game is nearly 10 years old,and still until today it's an amazing game, the art that the game contains is just stunning!

I think that there was some research that if the graphics is abnormal, like a caricature, the mind receives messages more efficently. Like South Park. There for, story is interesting, character, movement and there is always something unexpecting to happened. Like that pig at the end, poisoned by virus.

I believe a Cliffhanger is some what the same as an open ending.
so here the cliffhanger would be that pey'j apparently is one of the Domz now, which leads to a lot of speculation as what will happen next. also a great way to end a game since it leaves the possibily for a sequel :) which hopefully will come very soon :D

@ClankClaw, It's very unique, I've never seen anything like this game before and you really get attached to the characters but after you get a strong bond with them, the game gets these twists that screw with your emotions lol Well I couldn't describe everything about this game because you have to play it to really get how amazing this game is. I just thought that a game i was easily able to beat as a child could be considered a classic. But yes i now see what you mean the game is a sort of mix between metal gear and jak and daxter but it brings it's own share of ideas to the table. You should also not make the mistake of equating easy with bad.
Just cause you didn't have a hard time beating it shouldn't make you think less of a game. Games are more than just gameplay as strange as that sounds. Characters, visuals, audio, environments, plot, all these things and more need to be considered.
The way I understood the plot is that Jade is the "shauni" the deity to the domz when her parents took her they were unknowingly dooming the domz so the domz tried to get her back when they found out she was on Hillys
in the end none of the characters including the Domz are truley evil they are all "beyond good and evil" complex but misunderstood
Pey'j was infected by Jade. Normally Pey'j was already dead where double H and she arrived to this station. She sayd goodbye to him and touches his hand, remember? When Pey'j explain why he is alive again he talked about a strange power that float in his body and you can see a green aura on the hands. And this is the infection. So the endboss was right and Jade is a dom too. But Pey'j didn't tell this to her.

Eh played this game and beat it honestly I dont see it as being that amazing.
The stealth parts were easy, and I soemtimes just engaged guards instead of sneaking past just ot make it interesting, lack of autosave caught me off guard and lost alot of progess during a storm outage. The controls felt al ittle clunky, it was linear, and the title dosnt really make sense because there is a clearly viasable good guy side/evil h-hole side. Vech control was really clunky. Fun game but not the best.

People who've played Rayman 2: the great escape will instantly recognize the military-like BGM that plays in parts of the alpha section bases. AWESOME

I loved this game, but they need better music. I never liked the humming but liked the instruments. Also, I hope they don't do like Banjo-Kazooie did with the new one and stick to the perfected gameplay from this game.
Well, the good news is there's only humming for like 10 seconds here. :) I don't think I had any lasting complaints about the music at all -- anything I wasn't sure about at first ended up growing on me over time. (Okay, maybe the angsty "Die die!" racing song got pretty old, but solid otherwise.)

I remember reading somewhere that Michel Ancel intended Beyond Good and Evil to be a trilogy but he never made the last two games because the first one didn't sell well enough.So maybe the upcoming sequel will be part 2.

Just for the record the pig is called Pey'j. I loved the game and it took them far to long to start making a sequel. The first game was brilliant in every way. I've finished it far to often on the PC, hope they will make it a PC game aswell cause else I might need to buy a console just for this game. Think it will probably be worth it though.
i like the entire game, i love jade, the pig, double h, and the entire world of the game. But the ending is too......too....idk. Too shoved into my face. They make it so ridiculously obvious that there is going to be a sequel. And i saw the PIG trailer for BGAE 2, its smells fishy. That was a horrible trailer....im having low expectations. Until it comes out....we will have to see.

I didn't beat it totally either - darn those stealth sections! I guess the whole point of this is you beat the game everything is peaceful but did you watch the pig dude (I forget his name) at the last second? So... opens it up a bit...
This is the first time in a loooooong time I am actually giddy about a game. Can't wait for the sequel!! I may have been young when I first played it, but the excitement when I first put this game in the Xbox was sensational. This game didn't get enough credit among gamers, but it ranked pretty high, in the Top 25 Best Xbox Games for most reviewers. #8 for one of them!!
God, I remember that last battle being a pain in the arse... lol! But this was a truly awesome game and I will be going back to play it again at some point in the near future, especially now that that the sequel is on it's way.... AT LAST.

I so miss this game. I have it in pc mode, and I could never beat up the final boss, cuz pc went all berserk. But I do love this game. The story line is soo good, music, arts and everything. Hope they release another game , beyond good and evil 2 or something. Anyway, thank's for the video.
I got it on both platforms (PC version is better thoguht, much better resolution, such as at home the drawings of the kids on the walls are all pixelated on PS2 while it's fine on PC) and indeed the last boss is so tought, I usually (the few times I did at least) beat it only after killing a keyboard (I didn't even tried on PS2) :-)
I'm very glad that this is online because I bought a used version of this game from GameStop a few weeks ago, and when I beat it, it made it a few minutes into the ending (when the IRIS people show up), and then the game crashed!!! Gah!! But now I can see it, so yay!

never played it. heard ppl talking bout the story was good. i love story and only care bout story in game. by looking at this, man the presentation is very well done. music is beautiful. i think ill like it.

buy it. The game has quite a few effects that are surprising, considering how old it already is:
bloom, depth of field, motion blur, and look at the textures!

Why not let them develop "Beyond Good and Evil 2" and refine it to a fine playable game? Opposed to a bug riddled mess that is pushed out under a shorter production time.

I loved this game, but they need better music. I never liked the humming but liked the instruments. Also, I hope they don't do like Banjo-Kazooie did with the new one and stick to the perfected gameplay from this game.

Well, the good news is there's only humming for like 10 seconds here. :) I don't think I had any lasting complaints about the music at all -- anything I wasn't sure about at first ended up growing on me over time. (Okay, maybe the angsty "Die die!" racing song got pretty old, but solid otherwise.)

I remember reading somewhere that Michel Ancel intended Beyond Good and Evil to be a trilogy but he never made the last two games because the first one didn't sell well enough.So maybe the upcoming sequel will be part 2.

Just for the record the pig is called Pey'j. I loved the game and it took them far to long to start making a sequel. The first game was brilliant in every way. I've finished it far to often on the PC, hope they will make it a PC game aswell cause else I might need to buy a console just for this game. Think it will probably be worth it though.

i like the entire game, i love jade, the pig, double h, and the entire world of the game. But the ending is too......too....idk. Too shoved into my face. They make it so ridiculously obvious that there is going to be a sequel. And i saw the PIG trailer for BGAE 2, its smells fishy. That was a horrible trailer....im having low expectations. Until it comes out....we will have to see.

Never beat the game, and I havent played it in so long so...
Does this ending suck? I dont know. Its boring, unless theres something I'm obviously not getting.
But I'm 100% sure this will come to Xbox Originals, I'll get it then.

I didn't beat it totally either - darn those stealth sections! I guess the whole point of this is you beat the game everything is peaceful but did you watch the pig dude (I forget his name) at the last second? So... opens it up a bit...

This is the first time in a loooooong time I am actually giddy about a game. Can't wait for the sequel!! I may have been young when I first played it, but the excitement when I first put this game in the Xbox was sensational. This game didn't get enough credit among gamers, but it ranked pretty high, in the Top 25 Best Xbox Games for most reviewers. #8 for one of them!!

Michel Ancel said they have plans for making a sequel!
"Je travaille sur Beyond Good & Evil 2. Nous sommes en préproduction depuis un an, et nous effectuons un travail de recherche en petit comité. Mais pour l'instant, c'est à l'étape d'ébauche, Ubisoft n'a pas encore donné son accord."
It basicly means that they started with the pre-production, but they need Ubisoft to give them permission to make the game.

I so miss this game. I have it in pc mode, and I could never beat up the final boss, cuz pc went all berserk. But I do love this game. The story line is soo good, music, arts and everything. Hope they release another game , beyond good and evil 2 or something. Anyway, thank's for the video.

I got it on both platforms (PC version is better thoguht, much better resolution, such as at home the drawings of the kids on the walls are all pixelated on PS2 while it's fine on PC) and indeed the last boss is so tought, I usually (the few times I did at least) beat it only after killing a keyboard (I didn't even tried on PS2) :-)

I'm very glad that this is online because I bought a used version of this game from GameStop a few weeks ago, and when I beat it, it made it a few minutes into the ending (when the IRIS people show up), and then the game crashed!!! Gah!! But now I can see it, so yay!
