great performance and music piece i love it, you play with such great expression all the time i love it. its inspire me:) thanks for kindly word about my work too:) i wish you a happy christmas. see you:)
Outstanding composition, performance and recording. Can you be persuaded to create and share the sheet music to this song? Also, it would be nice to see your body language expressed when you play this. Any hope of changing the camera angle?
I have to say that I am flabergasted on 2 levels! That Yamaha CF111S Grand Piano sample is so much better than all software pianos. Honestly I was expecting something like"This was done in a recording studio with a real grand". Thanks and keep up the good work!
Yeah, I als oprefer it to all software pianos! It still isn't a patch on the real thing though -it lacks bite when played hard, but it's the best sounding sample I've encountered. I don't tweak or add anything to the sound in any way on these youtube recordings. Yeah, it's really great! -Colin
Hey Colin, this a beautiful composition and played beautifully! And the sound is awesome (I'm a bit curious to how you do it). I haven't known you that long but some record company should be signing you up soon or do you already have CD's on the market?
Wow, thanks truepiano! If you look at my home page, it'll tell you what I use to get the sound. No CD's from me! All this is just for fun! Thanks for your great comment!
That´s a beautiful and relaxing piece, Colin. I like your natural and relaxed manner to play jazz-music. You are a great and musical pianist, there is no doubt for me. The way you play the Off-beats in the left hand seems very professional to me. Also the melody-line in the right hand is always emphatic and played with a good feeling for rhythm and timing.
Colin, I must tell you that I found my friend Sergio on Skype this evening and was eager to share the link to this beauty. He had a migraine, but couldn't resist hitting the link and he enjoyed the gentle balm of this beautiful tune. It's nice to speak to your listeners by voice because I like to hear their smiles! So to speak! Hugs from ~Tez
Dear Colin , it has been a while since I visited your video last time . It alwasy brought me smile listening to your music . It is a very beautiful piece , each note is so wonderful listen to it . There are many beautiful moments and transitions . You are a great talent and thank you for sharing with us .Many stars for you Take care ~Yiling
My dear Colin, I am following your hands, I am following all these notes smiling in your soul, and I lost time....my space are the black and white keys of your piano....and my air is the melody you made us breathing......love it, love it, love it!!
You are always a great EXAMPLE for us and, in particular for me....who I am learning WHAT is a piano-score :-))
Dear Luca, Thank you so much for posting such lovely and eloquent comments to this page and taking the time to listen to this video! Best wishes from Colin
This is one of my favs from your collection Colin. I like the rise and fall of the piece and the soft peaceful ending is beautiful. Your talent should not go unrewarded! Bravo!
Oh my Lord! Colin! This is just an incomparable celebration in sound of what an artist can do when granted the freedom to express themselves -- combined with the grace of an insight. (Not everyone knows of their affliction or their need, let alone benefit, of being healed from it) Truly one of my all-time favorite compositions from you, and you know what a lengthy scrolling list that is! I'm so happy today because you shared in your joy in the most beautiful way! Bless you my friend, ~Tez
Wow Colin, how I heard anger in this composition and also your gratitude. It is such a meaningful piece of music. I admire you because you captured those feelings and I admire that you also wrote it done.
So glad you like, Truus! But I wasn't feeling angry at all, just passionate! So maybe I will redo this piece if it is sending out the wrong feelings...
Maybe I have, as usual, express myself not good. With that anger I didn't mean real anger! I used my widget to find out what you meant by affliction and so I came perhaps on the word anger, so please don't change one single note! I think my comment says more about me, then about you. Don't you really want to learn Dutch, please? :-))
Dear Truus, I'm just gonna have to fly over to your place in the Netherlands so you can start teaching me Dutch! You poor thing, I really feel for you trying to speak in a second language -although you do it absolutely brilliantly! I think the passage where you have said it sounded angry really was me crying out for help and then my cry is heard and acted on -I am healed!!
Not wishing to step on anyone's opinion or perception, I just would like to say that I felt nothing but an exultant and fervent strength being emitted. If you'll please pardon the first analogy which pops into mind, I compare the power to the way a large dog shakes their body with a great vigor when emerging from water -- the 'spasm' meant only to disperse the drops. Some people may see it as shuddering. I hope you know what I mean. I really hear power here. But for me not negative at all.~T
Wow, Tez, it really is so uncanny how you have your finger on the button when you hear music! I really couldn't have put it better myself! Next time I look at my beloved big dog Scooby shaking his head, I'll think of what you have written and smile! Thankyou!!
Another excellent piece!
