  • @pu9fdo

  • @pu9fdo

    Volta pro VHF PU!!!

    kkkk

  • Must be all __AM types__ that watch this vid - one can tell, since they don't recognize an FM squelch tail when they hear one ... rig looks to be a Kenwood TS140 or TS680 series radio, which has FM mode ... and like I said before, the impulse noise affecting the FM 'capture effect' at the 0:18 point in the video is part of the giveaway or 'tell'.

If you have a keen ear and mind, you will recognize it. Most can't though ...

    .

  • @uploadJ well it must not have a stiff ps to have the meter swinging backwards during FM mode tx, by all appearances it is an AM mode tx.

  • one time, we compare 28 MHz 1.5 kW 50 ft 3 ele yagi on both side and 2 meter FM 50 watts 5/8 wave ANT on both side. we heard much better on 2 mtr than 28 MHz. I don't know why.

  • Hmmm ... sounds like FM mode is being used here; listen beginning at 0:18 and hear the impulse noise affecting FM on receive ... also note the squelch noise between transmission; not AM nor is that SSB ...

  • @uploadJ You 're right but no swing in FM mode

  • @SebNormandy "You 're right but no swing in FM mode"

Ideally, you're right 'course ... but depending on IF filter characteristics SOME meter movement can be seen as the signal is FM 'spread' by voice across the IF Filter BW which is not perfectly symmetrical ... and those meters move a LOT more at the high end scale than at the low end of the scale for a small change in signal strength (due to signal width thru the filter OR transmit signal strength) Also Kenwood meters in FM are sensitive

  • @uploadJ Ok ;)

  • most time back swing i because of to many watts in to the driver box, but it don't sound like it, when you over drive the box it will sound fuzzy or distorter,,,back swing with clean audio is not enoff amps.... "FREEBIRD wav'in a wing" cya and i got down!!!

  • Show us a video with the amplifier and his wattmeter....

  • these crackheads spoiling the cb radio with their rubbish

  • I am calling bullshit! For one: There is no way that you are going to get 4kw out of even 10, 6kd6 tubes -- I used to get 500w out of 4. For another: if a meter is accurate S3 to S9, then it is going to be 36dB increase; same as going from 4w to 8000w). Then, going from S9 to 60dB over, would be going from 8000w to 8,000,000,000w. Not going to happen! Get your S-meter and the other guy's watt-meter calibrated!!!!

  • @kc8ntp i too aggree 4x 2879 is around 350 to 500w depending on drive and voltage, then 10 6KD6 which normally are around 80w to 120w each...of course times 10..800w to 1kw at correct voltage, yet being driven with 400w they must be glowing blue and ready to blow, but even then, 2kw...

fake if you ask me...and why we not see the 'amp' in question..

  • me da la impresion que es FM y no AM

  • Legal , ja muda totalmente o sinal

    e incorpora mais o audio

eu ja possui 777, 788 hoje

uso uma MAC L 2000 vejam

meu video no Youtube ( MAC L 200 Watts ) 400 watts com 788? ABL 800 da Zamim dá os 400

apesar deles prometerem de 600 a 800 watts sempre

rende menos do que prometem rzs, Abraço a todos !

  • whats with the backward swings!!! u want fwd swings when ur talking

  • @dark2ksystem

It´s right, too much power on radio, max power+ unlimited modulation= backward swings

  • @CoMeComBaTaTa Not too sure who told you a modified radio of any kind should swing backwards because of power levels and modulation, but let me say this, if your radio produces a backwards swing when transmitting, and it's modified to remove the modulation limits, then the backswing is likely due to you sending too much modulation from your amplified microphone, through the radio. Just because modulation is unlimited, doesn't mean crank it up all the way.

  • @phattieg Just noticed your setup had two amps, one with 4 pills, and one with 10 tubes. If your forward swing on the 4 pill amp is above the max input power level of the 10 tube amp, then it will also backswing. Anyhow, I didn't notice backswing when you key'd up, and the video only shows your receive meter, but the guy you were talking to obviously had backswing, and bad. His audio wasn't over modulated, but his setup needs fixed.

  • @CoMeComBaTaTa What happens is if you have 100% modulation peaks, then you will have the same back-swing as you have swinging forward (which is always true whatever the mod % is). This means, that once you hit 100% - mod peaks, then you will actually have the carrier cutting off for a fraction of a sec. this does not happen at 99%. This is why AM broadcast station use asymmetrical modulation: they have 125% + peaks and only 90% - ones. This makes for some loud audio without carrier cutoff!

  • OH2FFY is a moron, he's kicked off youtube.

  • Oh my god....not this mudduck oh2ffy! I really think this guy is gay and looks on youtube for illegal power users to get off on. lol Theory and real world conditions are sometimes different. I experience about the same jump from an s3 to around s9 with 4 2879's too. Mainly because i loaf my radio (exciter) to get nice audio and forward headroom out of my final amp. He might have been driving that 2k amp a tad bit to hard hence the slight backswing. Also if they had beams, i can believe 40+dbs

  • @nimbledagreat

    Thanks for this great comment.

Now you have EVERY Ham operator in the world laughing their box off at you.

Hihi , you are a comedian for sure.

Please keep up with the nonsensical comments - I just had another great belly laugh.

    gregW:-) OH2FFY

  • Hihi , That's SOOOO funny.

Your S meter gage is WAY out of calibration. (been tinkering with it hey ?)

For each double of power it is an increase of 3dB.

As the difference from 400W to 4000W is a increase of 10 times , that should indicate an increase of about 10dB on the meter.

So if you started off with S9 that should have gone up to S9 +10dB with the amp on --- NOT 60+ :-D

By the way that TX is seriously downward modulating :-D

Thanks for the vid , I had a great laugh.

    gregW:-) OH2FFY

  • @OH2FFY

Thanks for watching, anyways we love to be outlaw ;)

  • @CoMeComBaTaTa

I wouldn't call you guys 'outlaws', more like 'circus midgets'. :-)

They always make people smile with their fun antics.

    gregW:-) OH2FFY

  • @OH2FFY

WOW you dyscovered the purpose of this channel?

    Impressive, you´re a genious!

  • @OH2FFY oh2taffy tugger has some nice gerbils or sale or rent, all in good shape he gives each one a test drive, watch out for his prices though he'll catch ya not payin attention and try to stick it in your arse.
