@chavezcycling thank you very much for all the info . if you come to west palm beach one day let me know so i can ride with you . it will be a pleasure.
@Spazum888 Congratulations on quitting, just train everyday. Build up to longer rides and more effort. Try to find group rides in your area to help you become more competitive. Hope one day to see you out on the rides with us.
@Spazum888 Congrats 2 thumbs up. I smoked on/off. Jan08, I said enough.
It will take sometime to adjust to change of habit. Be very patient with self, especially the first 12 months. To get in the best of shape, it will take time so don't over train. Ride 3-4 times a week for 1-3 hrs. Power walking & find other cardio to help your lungs improve. Buy a heart rate monitor & use it. Keep yourself hydrated and focus on the prize!!.
Nice video makes me feel slow and really gives me the urge to take up cycling properly rather than just biking 10miles everyday to work and back. Keep up the good work!
@vietanmay911 this race was in Florida, I'm sure there must be some races in Tennessee, or you can come join us for some racing in Florida this season.
they need to stay with the peloton (mass of riders) in order to take advantage of the energy savings of drafting. Riders take turns at the front of the pack and take the brunt of the wind pedaling hard while the other riders have a relatively easier time and can coast. The race is about endurance not going full on from start to finish.
@ctrlaltdlt01 I don't ride fix gear, and I'm not a hipster. I'm just pointing out that these noobs are coasting when they could actually be saving time while pedaling.
We're glad you are enjoying them! We've had a lot of people asking for a one hour video, so we made a 60-minute Indoor Cycling DVD that you can get at our website ChavezCycling on the Indoor Cycling DVD page . We are also in the process of making Indoor Cycling DVD #2 from recent races. Thanks for all the great feedback it is really appreciated :))
@Mansell5Senna8 We have made a one hour indoor cycling dvd with a lot of great footage from many of my races. We have arranged them so that they start as a warm up, build up to an exciting and intense level, then a short cool down. We've used some upbeat music to keep you motivated too. You can order it at Chavez Cycling Indoor Cycling DVD and we'll quickly ship it to you anywhere in the world! Hope you enjoy it.
neat video, Joel. I think it would be better if--and this is easier said than done but--you rode at the front the whole time. No one cares what's going on at the back of the pack. The best part was when you're riding at the front and people can see who's attacking, etc.
is chris hoch in/on your team? i love that guy :)

i got a new bike and i ride up to 40 mile total any tip to get better , faster and stronger? i do interval sprints and im new at this .
locotte 4 months ago
@locotte Try to train 2-3 hours per day, 6 days per week. Always ride over 19mph.
Do some power training in your hardest gear 2-3 times per week for 30
minutes each time. Try to do 4-6 sprints of 300m, standing on the pedals
and going as fast as you can, once or twice per week. Join group rides or
race on the weekends.
For a whole year I posted my training plan on my blog. You can see it in the July 2009 post of my blog site (ChavezCycling)

@chavezcycling yea i might but i need to train because my bike weight like 2 pounds and i can barley pass 30 miles and pass out XD

@vietanmay911
Its not the bike its the rider. If you can make your bike go 30 mph for 60 miles, there are people who will pay you to ride their $6.000 bikes.

What lovely smooth roads, not like Britains which are full of potholes, manholes and patched up tarmac.
