  • They Should Put HUGE Search lights on the blue line trains so people will stop driving ahead of them.

  • @LCEUclan or maybe you can pay attention when you drive and just not drive in front of a train

  • @thebignsexy well when a emergency vehicle is responding somewhere, that if it has to take a dangerous short cut it will.

  • @LCEUclan negative, the emergency vehicle should follow due regard, and not take dangerous short cuts

  • @thebignsexy and also, the vehicle the train hit is a fire tiller, or a tractor trailer version of a ladder truck. tillers are much slower and dont have as many lights on the trailer, so the train could not have seen whatever lights it does have on it.

  • Legally trains have the right of way, common sense should have said don't stop on the tracks, that a train just may come. Kinda like treating a firearm as if it is always loaded. Again, it probably would be a just easier to say pay attention. (typically the larger something is the harder it is to stop)

  • @LCEUclan The trailers have plenty of lights, not that they have anything to do with this. Tillers are not slow BTW.

  • FIRETRUCK FTW!!!!!!!

  • I saw one of them trucks being built. Man pretty much 99% of the truck is made of solid high quality steel. No wonder that truck was barely damaged.

  • i help build them

  • Trains ALWAYS have right of way, even light rail trains.

Appears train was able to greatly slow from reported 35 mph speed before impact.

    What time?

    What was the fire call?

I suspect Truck was trying to enter intersection against cross-traffic. No opportunity to cross before train got to it.

Otherwise, it would have crossed before train got to the intersection.

  • MTA doesnt drisciminate, but damn train VS fire truck who's going to win?!

  • oops I wonder who is at fault on this dance

  • well damm dude, he knew that a train operates on washington Blvd. Its been there since 1990. Unless it was a rookie who didnt know the area.

  • yeah and there would ALSO be a RAILROAD CROSSING!

  • man!!! sth's gone wrong there...I guess the driver didnt notice the train coming...Sad =/ I hope everyone's okey

  • i heard this call.....i was riding out on engine 58 when we heard over the radio the truck 14 vs. A train.....it came over the radio as a physical rescue
