  • killed it!!!!

  • Month Day And Year of Event?

Don't matter. Welcome to the 100% Illiterate World.

    But the music is pretty.

  • One of the greatest singers of all time. I LOVE her in Into The Woods. :)

  • So she HAS had work done right?

  • "I was just so busy with El Nino."

Makes me laugh every time. :P

  • Is there a more talented woman in show bus than this lovely gal? Help me out here cause I can't think of any. I just love her so damn much.

  • LOVE HER! <3

  • Omg, I can't believe she was almost 60 in this 0___0

  • @CaliCaliente00 She was only in her 40's in this! This was 1998 :P

  • one cm lower and her boobs would show

  • Whow.

  • Fab! Watch her march!

  • Oh Bernadette...you always have something up your sleeve!

  • @bakstudent12 She always has something up her sleeves? Even when she doesn't have sleeves? :D

  • Love her!

  • all those men in the audience...all so gay

  • I think Patti will always be my favorite Rose, but Bernadette's performance as Desirée in ALNM this past summer stands out as the most beautiful, heartbreaking and uplifting interpritation of a role I've witnessed.

  • @aasjb4ever I saw her in Night Music too! She was so amazing. I think the loss of her husband gave her some real insight into the character. It was heartbreaking and wonderful.

  • have you ever seen someone so beautiful?

  • Flawless!

  • BP fans are probably gonna roast me for this, but when most comments are about her appearance, specially in this powerhouse of a song, you just know the work itself is not gripping enough. Powerful voice, super talented woman, some lovely moments in the song ,but just did not have me at the edge of my seat and I really wanted to be! Somehow she just does not bring the emotional range that is required for this song. She does not make the material personal and immeadiate, its just a cover for her.

  • @Divinedancedivas i agree. im a huge fan, and shes amazing but this performance was just a little bit focused on her dress.

(but i bet if she sang it in a different dress people wouldnt notice)

  • @HuckHuck96 I agree, you cannot deny talent. And she undeniably has that with charisma to burn. But even then, in my personal opinion, had her performance been as arresting as this song requires, no one would have noticed her dress. But you can tell from the performance that she has connected and communicated with her audience which is what really matters. I am not a huge fan of this particular interpretation sadly, even when I hear it without looking at the screen. But she is great.

  • @Divinedancedivas I personally think this performance is amazing (however, I loved Peters' interpretation of Rose). She absolutely commands this stage & makes the song her own. Even though she'd yet to play the character, she's totally immersed in it here. That's one of the many things I love about Peters: she totally gives herself over to the song & music, whatever the role.

But, I will always be captivated by Peters' appearance, because I think she is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

  • @boynamedalexxx That's wonderful. You are getting more bang for your buck, which is great. :)

  • This song suits her voice so perfectly!!!

  • Cute voice, beautiful face, but I can't stop staring at those hot boobs!! That's a perfect package

  • What a wardrobe but amazing performance by Bernie P!

  • What a dress!

  • She obviously has small aureoles ....

  • @trwent LOL!!!!!!

  • She really knows how to connect with her audience.

She been one of my favorites since I first heard her (many years ago).

  • I was really sad when she didn't go up to the high C like Patti Lupone :(

  • I love how when the orchestra starts shes in character the walk chances its fanastic

  • all gay chaps in the audience lol

  • Oh..my... Thats amazing. Thats amazing... What else can I say?!

  • What a gorgeous set of knobs!

  • When she says Marvin is she talking about Marvin Hamlisch?

  • @natkg2010 No, she's talking about Marvin Laird, her musical director.

  • ha, and she still hasn't changed it (:

  • Yeah, saw her sing this in a concert I saw last year too she sings with passion...that is one of my fave musicals songs, I didn't like many of the others as much as her. :)

  • Okay...I'm totally gay but I could NOT stop staring at those porceline breasts! LOL Not taking anything away from her talent, of course.

  • Love this woman. She's amazing.

  • Her boobs are literally slapping me in the face!

  • @thespian1466 I know right!! Not bad for a lady of 62!!! hahaha

  • when i first heard her talk i at first thought of my friends mom but then i heard her sing and i almost fell out of my chair

  • omg , great vocals she has talent all the way (:

  • at 3:25, she screams FUCK!

haha, you don't hear it but you can see her lips mouth it(:

  • And my dad wonders why im obsessed with her

  • Does anyone remember Bernadette singing "What'll I Do?" on late night TV years ago (I think it was Johnny Carson)? She stood stock still in her beautiful gown, sang the song, and a tear rolled down her cheek during the song. Where could I find that video clip? Any ideas?

  • @suzeybell Yes, saw it. Riveting. Good luck on the clip. I bet it will show up one day here, if Youtube doesn't get greedy.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH I just love her!!

  • Ok people let's start naming the most beautiful ladies of all time. 1. Bernadette Peters. 2. Carla Gugino. 3. Michelle Pfeiffer. 4. Annabella Sciorra. 5. Madeleine Stowe. That's my top 5.

  • Damn, that women has pipes on her!

  • im 'awestruck' by her

  • SHE IS A BROADWAY GODESS...I LOVE HER SO AND i WATCHED 6 YEARS AGO!

  • Way better than Patti by far. Geez, Patti assulted my ears.

  • Dude - if you're 50 and have stuff like that, might as well flaunt it!

  • lol i truly love bernadette, but those boobs! omg

  • "You ain't gettin' 88 cents, Rose?"

My response to that would've been, "Lord?"

  • lol. That's funny. I have the concert tape and never even thought of that.

  • I think Patti Lupone is the greatest, But Bernadette's version of this tune is my fave. Great job.

  • I think that Liza sang this song the best and I really like Linda Eder singing this song. Much better than Patti.

  • the jazz hands at the end are funny

  • bernadette's hair flip makes me giggle =]

  • haha wow it looks like she almost forgets to sing into the mic when she sings "Goodbye to blueberry pie!" haha but that's how you know she's really into it! She just wants to throw out her arms and sing!!! AAAH I LOVE HER SO MUCH!

  • Patti, Ethel, Bette and all the rest of 'em can belt their faces off all they want, but no one does Mama Rose like Bernadette. She made the character SO human and real, when all of the others made some campy, over-the-top cartoon of her.

  • What a voice what a performance what an everything!!!!! bernie love totally crushing on her lady crush weird

  • WOW The power she has..

heheh her boobs look like they are going to pop out...but hey if you got it

  • She's such a queen!

    Tearing the stage uppp

  • This woman is amazing!! Her voice is like none other, she is beautiful!! And that hair of hers, oh my god, I love it!!

  • In my opinion, no one sings better than Bernadette Peters.

  • I love Bernadette...more than that...if I weren't a christian, I would feel totally comfortable creating a bronze statue of her and worshipping it. Her voice is amazing, and no offense to Ethel, but Bernadette makes any role her own and rocks it out.

  • ethel merman is the true Mama Rose. but Bernadette does a great job following her.

  • I'd be afraid I'd end up giving a free show, lol! She is the ONE AND ONLY Mama Rose!! The best Broadway has ever seen...and that goes for any role she's ever played. I met with her last year, and she is the sweetest, kindest person! The reigning Queen of Broadway!

  • If I wanted to sing 16 bars of this song, how long (minute-wise), would that be?

  • Gosh, this is upside down is making me sick

  • She beats any mama rose!!

  • Nothing wrong with her top ! Or her singing.

  • Sher's perfect!

  • i kept worrying about how her top might have issues.I have that problem too. :( other than the distraction there, wonderful performance!

  • nice boobs Bern xD Great version though :]

  • Dude I want her dress! It's gorgeous.

    So is her voice :D

  • just got back from seeing Patty Lupone...wish it had been Bernadette, Patty was good..but no one compares to Bernadette!

  • i saw both and wow they were so different it's hard to compare, i personally like patti's more but BP's was fab!!!! but they did kind of almost play 2 different characters...

  • this is very good... i think her, bette and angela are the three best now after watching this!!!!

  • one word Berna

    CLEAVAGE!!!

but other than that she was great!

  • @dinochild65 Aw. You don't like staring at Bernadette's Cleavage??

  • What cast was she in???

  • The revival previous to Patti LuPones

  • I knew that, I meant when she played Dainty June, I saw Patti in NY she was amazing, I think Angela was the best MR (my favorite actress of all time) and Patti and Bernadette tied 2nd, Maybe Patti beat Bernadette, I dunno I luv them both!

  • She didn't. . .that's what she said in the beginning.

  • Does anyone know when whether there will be any more concerts in England?

I would love to see her...

    She is just amazing!

  • I was really surprised when I found out that She turned sixty this year.Yet She is still just as brilliant.

  • I saw her in gypsy, I also just saw Patti LuPone!

  • U lucky so and so lol so jealous right now haha

  • OMIGOD!!!

Great voice but i was waiting for the wardrobe malfunction!!!!

  • ME TOO!!!

  • ive 3rd that motion for soooo long!

  • i saw her in this show and she was INCREDIBLE i loved every minute of it

  • when did this concert happen?

  • it was in 1998 - but it doesn't matter: could have been 1968 or 2038 because the woman DOES NOT AGE - beautiful!! (she must have a picture in her attic)

  • 1998 The Royal Prince Albert Hall in London, UK. And it`s available on DVD.

  • Papa is... God? WHERE DID THAT VOICE COME FROM?

So, so powerful. Her voice is crystal clear and demands attention of both the ears and the eyes.

    Thanks for posting!

  • this is so great i love her! i only saw the version of this song in the actual film and didnt really think much of it but Bernadette really brings it alive! as usual!

  • I think this was her best performance of this
