but why? its entertaining to watch. i have been to tons of museums and almost all of the guides where BORING as hell. like they arent intereseted at all telling something about that the stuff.
sandstead is great and i would buy dvds of this show.
People read too much into some "artists"--like Jackson Pollack--but too little into some of the true greats--like Vermeer, Leighton, Alma-Tadema, and Bouguereau.

I love Vermeer but I think people have a tendency to read way too much into his work.
A moral message or simply a beautiful scene?
Did Vermeer write about his work or otherwise provide insight into his motivations?
