I love this song..it fit so well with this movie.. I agree that ending was sad and in real life, I would have wanted her to pick Gary, but I think the ending of this movie is what really made this movie. A sad and tragic ending, but it made this movie memorable & made it emotional.

The ending gives me chills still... In the end, Karen was a s/ut & a user..Gary could do much better than her..

I was only 8 when this movie came out, so I don't think I saw it until junior year of hs in 1991, but I've loved it ever since...always will. I remember making all of my hs friends watch it w/me, and not one of them was ever prepared for the ending.
