As horrifying and Lovecraftian as the final boss is, it actually looks like a pushover. Just shoot the yellow buds and don't get hit by the tentacles. Simple.
But still, it looks really monstrous, almost like Shub-Nigurath.

Yeah it's a pretty simple fight :) I'm not sure what the difference is on hard or impossible mode, but this is on medium difficulty.
