Chinese soldiers are not so brave, sorry but its true! i was there in Sichuan, one of the first to get to wenchuan, and i was with about 300 soldiers who wouldnt even swim the river because the bridge was destroyed! but why? orders! and because they was tired...

I swam that river, with some other people! NOT soldiers... it took me about 2 hours, and after arriving in wenchuan, the next day the soldiers arrived! now if they did what i had done.

The USA is not a dictatorship as is China. The States have local jurisdiction. Its *against the law* for the president to send military troops into States unless invited to do so by the local government. Although the USA wanted to immediately send the Navy to assist, they could not because the local government, (the Mayor and Governor) failed to request help even though Washington DC implored them to do so.
