Seriously you might actually bother doing some research guys! Gladiators started in the US in 1989(and ran for 4 years); the UK started it's own version in 1992(ran for 6 years with a mini series in 1999).

The UK show inspired Russian & Finnish versions culminating in an international show. It was only after this that an AUS show was made (along with Nigeria, South Africa, Germany and later Denmark & Sweden).

That little bit of info gathering took me 5 mins. See? Not hard is it...
