@BalletGirl312 I like it because of the double-layer music interpretation. Despite the music of Tchaikovsky seems to be both cheerful and tragic, classical stagings show only the cheerful part in the choreography. Bourne modified the plot and used both layers of the music: the tragic one with Clara (Marie) suffering from the unrequited love and the cheerful one with the celebrating prince and princess.
@AlinaBych Yes, but it is not ballet, I was just pointing that out. You can have all those compontents, but in a classical ballet form, like my Nutcracker
