  • I'm Jealous!!

  • Cheers for putting this on. We were lucky to have these boys as heroes. One of their best. No one has come close since. We are and always will be the mods. Be proud

  • Great to see the clip !!! I was actually there that morning and at the sound check they done early Friday evening, being a scouser all Weller was concerned about was the Toxteth riots, which where happening at the time! Pretty Green and Funeral Pyre where also performed if I think back,( got Them ?) Thanks for the

    clip mate, brilliant.

  • Your correct.Pretty Green and Funeral Pyre were also performed.Check my other videos.I uploaded them both a while back.

    Cheers for your comment:-)

  • Will do.....and I can't believe it's a year ago since I last commented on this! Well done again btw.

  • @johnbacko

    Weller is not a scouser!!!!

  • Aceface...cool, well done. Hadn't seen that 'Boy About Town' clip since the day it was on!! Also, if I'm right, Pretty Green(and one other?) were played on that show too? (was it 'Get Set For Summer?)

    Great stuff!Well Done!

  • Absolutely f**king fantastic

    Thanks for sharing !

  • Wait - rewind that. Yes, I saw Paul smile! & he satirically tells the crowd, "Party hardy!" Amazing! ...Looking back now, I wish we could see & hear more of that fr them: a sense of humor. Now don't get me wrong: back in the 80's this Yank adored The Jam as The Ghost part of The Holy Trinity, w/The Clash as Father & Elvis Costello as Son. I guess "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now" coz I find The Jam's holy wafers often to be a bit dry & burnt. This one tho has zesty flavour.

  • One of the best Jam songs i wore outmy old 45

  • Brilliant Ace!! I remember watching this on kids Saturday morning TV and I taped it but alas that's whwn we had a Sony Betamax! I've never seen it since.

    Thanks

  • Yup, aceface is turning out to be a veritable archive, Genius!

Love Weller's comment at the end 'hi-de-hi' hahahaha.
