@Archangel866 I am aware of Pope Leo's Bull about Anglican orders, but what most Roman Catholics fail to realise is that the changes made to the ordination rite in the Church of England - that alledgedly made the Anglican orders defective (between 1549 and 1662) - only reverted it back to a rite that had been used previously in the Catholic Church prior to the 12th Century. That's why most independent theologians consider the Bull to be dubious: but if you are Catholic it is infallible. Pax

@toronjo40 No Anglican priest can be ordained without the laying on of hands from the Bishop. During the allegedly defective rite (1550-1662) the Bishops said "Take thou authority to the word of God, and to minister the holy Sacraments" This was the form used in Catholic Church until the 11th Century.

The corresponding form for Bishops was "Take, the Holy Ghost and remember that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee by imposition of hands." This was conferred by the Archbisop.

@Archangel866 You are aware, of course, that the Eastern Orthodox does not regard the holy orders of the Roman Catholic church as valid either because the RC, according to the Orthodox, "did not preserve holy orders properly". On the other hand, some provinces of the Orthodox DO recognize Anglican orders.

Pope Leo XIII declared that the Anglican church has no priesthood because they have lost apostolic succession. That is why Anglican 'priests' are ordained when they enter the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ. Anglicans have no real eucharist, only theatre, although their intentions are obviously pious. Return to the Barque of St Peter, the Ark of Salvation.

However, eventhough that means the Eucharist is not valid the Catholic church does not refer to it as only theatre without any value. So sayeth the Catholic church. And I agree with you in that the visible unity of the Church of Christ can only be realized trough communion with the bishop of Rome, his Holiness the Pope.

So if the Catholic Church is ALONE in keeping the TRUE WORSHIP, I feel safe to refer to men in robes acting as priests as a 'theartre'. No offence, just truth.

@karpov89 The Traditions of the Church on this matter are crystal clear: the Catholic Church is the ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC. The term 'subsists' is misleading and ambiguous and that has been admitted by the current pope. The Catholic Chuch ALONE posesses all the Truth. To hold any other opinion is to step into relativism and indifferentism, positions condemned by numerous encyclicals and popes, especially Pope Pius X, XI, XII. All other 'churches' are deviations and satan-inspired.

@karpov89 The pope has needed to clarify this term 'subsists' on many occasions because it was ambiguous and poorly understood. Read the writings of previous PRE VATICAN 2 popes about the requirement to belong to the Catholic Church and the writings on false Ecumenism. Pius XI in Mortalium Animos calls non Catholic Christians 'false' christians. Read Mortalium Animos and then read some of the contradictory statements in SOME of the V2 documents. Our Church Traditions are older than 40 years.

@ASignOfContradiction Study the requirements of infallibility AND obedience to a pope. Throughout history popes have been challenged by saints for their mistakes. This was especially true of St Catherine of Sienna and St Athanasius. Athanasius was even exiled for challenging the stance of Rome. There have been numerous antipopes in history on the throne of Peter. About 42 to be precise. I am not saying this applies today, but blind obedience is dangerous. Tradition exists for a reason : read it.

@bt804d This is a Eucharist of the Episcopal Church, which is the Anglican Church in the USA. I do not know where it was filmed though.

@ceredigio This is one branch of the Episcopal church. There are others, such as the Anglican Church of North America, who thankfully have not fallen into sin and approve Sexually Immorals in ministry or bless their unions!
