There'e lots of videos of Matthias showing some tapping licks.

One of the most important things is that his timing is always spot on. Many people just try to as fast as they can when tapping. Matthias actually taps in a very rythmical way.

He also uses many different rythmic groupings like, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 etc.
