  • dear soltbolz.

there is a good book called 'the gospel solution' by tom weaver.

you may find it somewhat enlightening.

  • So in order to go to heaven in Christianity all you need to do is believe jesus died for my sins? I can be a gangster like all those people who sell drugs, ruin lives, murder and still go to heaven because I simply believe Jesus died for my sins.

  • @soltbolz Believing that Jesus died for your sins entails a different lifestyle.

  • @drcraigvideos In what way because the Christians here in the U.K and specifically in my area follow a very similar and almost identical lifestyle to the atheists and when you compare the atheists lifestyle to the Muslims you see a massive difference.

  • @soltbolz Well, aside from your pesonal experience on how Christians are in the UK, I would recommend you read the Bible (without using the New Atheist Version) and see how Christians are. I think people like William Wilbefore, Jonathan Edwards, etc. are good examples of a Christian lifestyle worth emulating.

  • @drcraigvideos I like Christianity and most of the bible but do you not think it is more rational to believe in God because he sent a miraculous book rather than an event which happened 2,000 years ago?

  • @soltbolz How can you like Christianity when you haven't even stuided it properly. Judging from you comment, it's obvious you don't know it. And if you knew anything about the Bible you'd know it wasn't written by miraculous means.

  • @drcraigvideos I like Christianity for a number of reasons. I like Christians and when I go to a church I am welcomed. Also Christianity stops racism which is important. I also like some of the gospels and the teachings of them. The only thing is I can believe in Islam because of the miraculous nature of the Qur'an but when it comes to the bible I don't see why I should believe any of it is true due to it not being miraculous in any way compared to the Qur'an and its miraculous nature.

  • @soltbolz if they are having similar or identical lifestyles to atheists then that is evidence that they are not saved and have not truly put their trust in Christ. When a person truly puts their trust in Christ their life is marked by growing in sanctification (holiness) and becoming more and more like Jesus. It is often the case that somebody claims to be a Christian but in reality they are not, according to the Bible.

  • dhimmi dhimminee :) lol gotta love dr. craig

  • I wish atheists could respect Dr. Craig in who he is, if all theists conducted themselves in such a well-spoken manner, atheism might just go extinct.

  • What is most bothersome to me about "submission" is the idea that they believe that all people outside of Islam are subject to the law.

  • @highnote606 Where in Islam does it say "all people outside of Islam are subject to the law"?. Would be nice if you gave few verses from Quran or Hadith since we muslims ONLY go by what the Quran and Hadiths say and not peoples opinions.

  • good point- what Islam means by "submission" (he ability to find God based on one's own righteousness) is not the same as the Christian sense of faithfulness to Jesus in response to His grace&completed work of ustification. Our salvation is a completed&certain work based solely on what Jesus has perfectly& effectively accomplished in God's eye. Another point of departure we shd note is that the Lord inspired holy men to write the scriptures- in Islam "an angel" gave Muhammad his 'revelations"

  • what a wonderful critique! God bless you!

  • Was nt the Kalam Cosmological Argument on which WLC bases most of his arguments articulated by a muslim?

  • @omidalnoor Yes. Dr. Craig has said so many times.

  • Nothing more offensive to Jews and to Muslims than a foreign god (trinity) and a mythical godman christ (of trinitarians).

  • @TheHereticicalChristian That foreign god, is God. If the Godman is a myth, then the word myth means Truth.

  • @archeng123 Sorry you had the name Cheng in your name are you Hmong?

  • @archeng123 "Where did God come from" - a stupid question: God is eternal. He has to be in order to create time, because to "begin" is a temporal concept. A "god that came from somewhere" is as contradictory as a square circle. Just my two cents.

  • @Hannodb1961 YT atheists ask this all the time but never seem to satisfied with the logical response

  • @Hannodb1961 Lets try to be kind and caring, alright?

  • I think it is amazing to listen to some of the Muslims that has converted to Christianity . They seem so relaxed and at peace. They don't have to go up and pray in the night etc. They just love.

Do you want your children to love you or fear you? Do you want them to follow your commands out of love or out of fear?

We follow Jesus out of love!

  • @archeng123 Today we know that before big bang there was no time. If you existed before the beginning of time you would have no beginning as well therefore the question where or when was God created is a logical fallacy.

  • How has Islam changed in the Middle East since WW2?

  • @archeng123 you can ask these question about anything.. like the moon and the stars.

  • @archeng123 Please stick with the topic of the video.

  • God, Mother, and Son -or- God, Goddess, and Son were famous trinities among pagans ... it's where Catholicism adopted the 'Mary, mother of God' lingo.

  • @aveyowyns, actually the title of Mother of God is in response to a heresy known as Nestorianism. Nestorius claimed that Mary was the mother of Christ's human nature but not the mother of God and concluded that only Jesus the man suffered and died on the cross.

Source: Former Catholic, religious studies minor.

  • @wood9670

So, because you have a minor in religious studies, you knkow more about religion than I do? Please... It is common knowledge that the deity of Mary was lifted from various pagan mythologies that also had Goddess and son deities.

  • @aveyowyns, having a degree in a particular area usually entails that you have specialized knowledge lacking in the general public. Common knowledge is often wrong.

I don't deny that pagan cultural contextualizations of christian dogma have influenced certain beliefs regarding Mary in Christianity, only that they influenced the decision in the Nestorian affair. Wiki it.

Or google book "The virgin goddess: studies in the pagan and Christian roots of mariology". You may find page 256 useful.
