Dangerus .. if the spark get down on the primaire coil then it transport 2400 v 50 hz neon trafo.
The spark is just as a wire conntor and even the high voltage from the sec coil seems to be not danger with the skin effect also the lethal 2400 v 50 hz is transport it.

( esses dois trafos que você usa é de microondas né?, e como eu faço o capacitor com folhas de alumínio ou cobre?)
i dont understand much about how electricity works but from what i gather the circuit has a spark gap that allows the build up in the secondary transformer which then creates the high voltage resonance in the tesla coil, is this correct?? So I was wondering. what would happen if the circuit was just turned around to where the tesla coil is the first transformer and charges a capacitor to jump the spark gap and then the secondary will create a resonance with a battery? would this work?
oh, it's my safety gap in action, i'm turning on and off the motor because of this the frequency increase and decrease, when i put too low frequency, the safety gap works to protect the capacitor, bye :) and thanks! :DDD
@CosmicGnarler lol go read how works spark gap tesla coils, there's no trace of semiconductor, at most capacitors or transformer may get damaged from continuos operation

Can it do sustained operation? I think I saw the transistor fry in the outdoor test. Why does the frequency decrease during the activation?
