Perhaps, but doubtful... I never worked with (or even met) any of these horses, I just know their careers because the mid-to-late '90s held such a special place for me in showjumping.
How lucky, that must've been an incredible blessing. I was a fan of all of them, but my faves to watch were Amerika 7 (no question) followed by Pikadero and Fairway.
I was always impressed by Developer's hunter-like form, and Pikadero's incredible ability to get into trouble then get right back outta it. ;)
I worked hard :) but I rode a lot of nice horses! Developer would kill a person if given the chance, he was a mean stallion but could jump the moon (if he wanted to). Had a halter on him at all times and one year at Indio he slipped out of it and they had to take the tent off and lasou (spelling) him! I used to catch him by grabbing the halter from the outside of the stall for his groom. She called him kitten! The stories I could tell about this horse!
She was really sweet and Accord was her father. One time I was out on the trail and these people had a camel in their pasture, well I let her stand and look through the gate and I knew the camel was walking right to the gate! When that thing appeared in front of her she spun and took off so fast! It was funny. Very sweet horse.
I was here when he won this! He was going so fast and just ran out the gate. Susie's horses couldn't turn as fast! Fairway was such a good one he always was so consistant and had the best personality, he also drank gatorade from a cup!
Yes, I have one of those two at High Prairie... I'm considering posting it, as Developer had such a BEAUTIFUL jump and bascule. RoxDene-style knee action too.
The amazing thing is that they were competing in a torrential downpour too!
I have a very short clip of Accord, one that I don't really think is worth posting.
I have tonnnnns of stuff on Amerika 7. Rest assured that she's DEFINITELY getting a multi-course full-feature video from me (similar to the one "Evolution of Extreme")!
Interesting. You say that as if you know/knew him... tell us, is he still around? I doubt it, considering that he already had a good bit of age on him when this was filmed (15yrs ago), but though I'd ask anyway. :)
hes amazingly smooth!

GOOOO THOROUGHBREDS! They have the biggest hearts out of any breed of horse. I wish they were used more in Show Jumping like my 2 babies.

Crazy. Watching him move, it'd be impossible to guess that he was anything like that! ...any stories about Amerika 7?

I love a good thoroughbred. He just floats over those jumps! Hardly looks like he's putting any effort into it :-D
