I too have had to face some serious issues concerning my son and a pancreas injury. I will say a pray for your family. In the mean time I suggest contacting the Ronald Mcdonald House and also possibly Contact ST.Judes in Nashville, also try Vanderbilt Childerns Hospital and The shriners Association all of these can possibly help. And they all accept your insurance as well as provideing a place to stay and eat.

A sad story that needs to be told to all facing government run health care....I know they have already failed at Medicare/Medicaid, not to mention Social Security disability where everyone is automatically denied!

If so try the University of Oklahoma, I have been with the Oklahoma Pediatric Cancer Association for over 27 years. Go to my channel Checotahkid, if you have a e-mail account leave that with me, I will e-mail you back, and give you instructions on the procedure to get admitted. The grandchildren if they have their roll card should get medical treatment from that tribe.

I'm sorry about your grandson. But there is another side to our HC problems and it involves the greed of the Insurance Co. My son became ill in 1990 and his medical care was denied at first by my ins co. He struggled with his illness for over 10 years and I struggled with constant denials, delays and reviews from my ins. co. as a result my son is crippled for life. As long as HC is based on profit many will be denied and too many will die. We need to find a better way. patty (lame54's wife)
