Why isn't he starting material though? He was a starter his entire collegiate and professional career until the latter half of 2007 when the Yankees transitioned him to a reliever. He IS a starter -- he just so happened to gain national popularity from the bullpen.

The collegiate level is nothing compared to the professional level. compare his stats from reliever/closer to that of him as a starter and it takes more than 1 year to be a consistent MLB pitcher (starter, closer, or reliever)
