I caught a shiny Sandshrew on my Ruby and evolved it to Sandslash (which btw looks ok), but that game's been missing for ages now :(

Leg1: pokeradar shiny

leg2: bad weather shiny (ash doesn't count)

leg3: sr shiny (soft reset)

leg4: hatch a shiny with at least one egg move

leg5: fish a shiny (use a fishing rod)

may i ask what u would have done if a baltoy appeared??? or did u use a way only to get sanshrew?

I had a Golduck with 'damp' ability (which prevents Pokemon from using explosion/self-destruct) in case a shiny Baltoy appeared.

congrats on the sandshrew. do u save ur file if u encounter like about 500 and no shiny? i want to know because i am searching for shinies too and i just want to know if u save ur file even if u dont encounter a shiny

Actually I tend to resave my game every 30 or so encounters. My random encounter shinies have always appeared soon after I've resaved.
