kauto star is well over rated on rating and rating are only an opinion of the handicapper paul nicholls cant split denman or kauto star so how can the handicapper big bucks it the best horse in training and master minded isnt far behind him if any horse breaks the 200 barrier it will be big bucks or masterminded

ive always been sceptical of ratings.

if you take ratings into account kauto star would have to have given best mate about 20lbs if they met in a handicap.

kauto star is a great horse but my money would be on best mate in that situation.

Dukeofmarmalade you talk a load of shite. There was nothing Tony mccoy could have done. The horse fell because he was ridden agressively. Mccoy would not be 14 times champion jockey for nothing and the best national hunt trainer paul nicholls know who is the right man for the job. If sam thomas was aboard it would have been the same story. I think mccoy will win on him in the gold cup. Watch this space!!!

This race proved nothing about horse or jockey. COme cheltenham he will be cherry ripe.

well i can with the gold cup looming so close u dnt have to be an expert to see he would need another run at least to see if he has improved at all ,thats why he is so dodgey for the gold cup he needs races to improve and he hasnt any if he runs like at kempton then well beaten im afraid!!!

all i can say is that cheltenham will tell us everything. paul nicholls did not say that denman is DEFINETELY past his best or that he CANNOT win the gold cup.

i dont know if denman will be in top form for the gold cup. no one does either way. if he had been beaten 3 or 4 times this season then i would say he is not the same horse but my point is that oyu cannot say that after only one run

so you are writing off denman after one run?? i think thats a dangerous thing to do. he gold cup is the horses main aim. so what he got beat on saturday. everyone knows a sharp kempton is not denmans track. im sure we ll see a different horse at cheltenham.

i havent lost faith in the horse. if he comes back to his best he will win the gold cup. on last years form he is the best stayer around. people like you are too quick to jump on the bandwagon and only speak after the event

to be honest its a hard one to weigh up regarding denman. you either look at his current price and think its a good price or you dont touch him after all thats happened with him. im with him mainly beacause i think its worth taking a chance at current odds.

nicholls has recently said that denman has a mountain to climb this year but he also said exactly the same thing last year but as nicholls also said, until the tape goes up for the gold cup we do not know whether denman is back to his best.

the only danger to master minded in the champion chase are the fences. he is so far clear of the rest of field its unreal.

regarding kauto star, at the moment there is nothing out there that can beat him at 3 miles round kempton so i would have to say at the moment, yes he will win the king george but it is a long time away yet

Master Minded is one of the best jump horses i've ever seen. He deserves to go well this year and I really hope he does. Can't wait to see him at Newbury this saturday in the AON chase!!!
