theres an easier way to kill this colossus, you run to the far end of the room and go under the shelter, when he looks under you can jump straight onto his beard :D

It most likely had to do with the princess. I personally have never played the game but have been tempted. Wouldn't you much rather play the game on your own than ask? I mean, cmon now, a game that beautiful and intricate is worth playing ^_^

if u mean the blue thing at 5:14-5:20 or so, its so that u dont have to run back to the place where the voice tells u where the next colossus it. so basically just to make the game easier. and you dont get killed

this is my favorite colossus because he is so easy!i right when he smashed though the wall i beat him in 45 seconds!all you have to do is climb over those 2 little walls and then he smashes those.then you go under a brick roof that is held by pillars.then he looks down for you,and that is your chance to grab on the beared.once you do that follow what uberwolf did.this uberwolf guy is super amazing.

And I can also tell you it's got to be the first game ever, that can be categorised as art, this is the start of games deviating from just entertainment, and reachign the mass market, as the movie industry did It's a piece of art. And this is made especially obvious when people like you, don't comprehend it. The storyline and art direction are so astounding. It's defintely my favoruite game right before Morrowind.

hold triangle and your jump will be higher. same thing with stabbing the colossus. it might only work when u grab though i dont know for regular jumps though
