@UltimateRemixNinja In the studio track, Hayashibara sings very lightly and in a controlled manner, as if she's dancing on the notes. In this version, well, it's not that she's stomping on them, but stepping a bit more boldly.

I actually like this performance because the balance between the vocals and the music is better, but from a technical perspective, it's not sung as well. For instance, I think she goes significantly underpitch, which she tends to do, at the end of the first verse.

Shes energetic and such but to be honest shes really bad singing live, sounds great when they fix it up for the anime but live its just terrible, in my opinion Utada Hikaru has the best singing voice that ive heard compared to anime and other video game theme song artists and Utada is great live also. I was really dissapointed when i saw the lack of voice control Megumi has here especially with pitches like at 2:53 till the end of that, that was really bad...

@DarkPheonixLord 2:53? she hits that note fine, you gotta allow for slight variations when a note is held for a long time, especially if the performer is out of breath. the only time she gets the wrong pitch is 1:07.

She isn't BAD singing live, but i know what you mean, there's something not quite right.

I don't think it's her fault; to me it sounds like an inexperienced sound engineer for the show - you'd be surprised how that can change a good performance into a terrible one

I think her voice wasn't perfect for a couple of reasons: she was being all charismatic, smiling to the guys and dancing (she really has TOO MUCH stage charisma!) and if I heard right, it's the last ("saigo") song of the concert ^^ she must have been tired even if her smile tells you another story XD
