In my experience there is little correlation between song complexity and views. Some of my covers, which took weeks to produce, attracted virtually no views while some that were banged out in minutes have done very well. There seem to be many different factors, many beyond our control, which determine video performance - Ron

You may be right. Tone is very subjective and perceptions can vary dramatically from one person to another. To my ear, I was pretty happy with the tone I got on this one. Thanks for viewing and the feedback - Ron

@iamRottenRon Of course the tone was still very good but it's missing that bright bridge sound from an old stratocaster let's say. I'm only commenting this because you mentioned you liked their tone...not to annoy you or anything. But also...Buying a guitar and other equipement just to copy the sound from a different band as some people do, would be stupid =P

Thanks for viewing. Yes I do plan to do more White Stripes covers although I've started to limit my covers to songs for which I can get custom accompaniment tracks to avoid copyright issues. Many of my videos which use original sound recordings are now blocked in various countries and / or on mobile devices including tablets. It's also nice not to have to play over the original instrument but unfortunately there's a lot less material to choose from - Ron

The guitar I'm using is a "Godin" and the model is "Detour". I bought it used and paid about U.S. $350 for it. I don't think the retail price much higher than what I paid. Godin is a Canadian company, the parts are made in Canada while the guitar itself is assembled in the U.S. Hope that helps - Ron
