  • I've learned so much from your tutorials.. Enjoyed the experience.. thanks dude.

  • Thank you for making this video! I have subscribed your channel and these tutorials have really helped me with my own projects. Thank you! Big hand from Finland. *Thumbs up*

  • anyway to still get those sound fonts you mentioned from your website even though you took it down?

  • why isnt there any sound when i import a midi file?....

  • Great video, very helpful. I would suggest putting "remix" in your tags so more people searching for this material can enjoy it too !

  • I have a question... is any of this MIDI whatnot relevant in the Demo version? Because that's what i'm using and I'm not seeing any of the MIDI files you're talking about... that and i can't get music from my computer to FL studio if its not MIDI.

  • Does that download-tutorials website still work? And would u know any other websites where I can get soundfonts or sound packs from. Thank you

  • i dont have sound on midi files too after removing lsd. tried everything.. :/

  • So in order to remix a song, I must convert it to midi first? But would that still work? Will it still retain all the (how do I put it) pieces? so that I can remake the song?

  • I'm having trouble also when dragging the midi over & doing the necessary steps. Afterwards all the data is on 1 track and no sound, do you need a midi keyboard to get the sound? If not please elaborate

  • when i drag my song in, that thing doesnt pop up, it just plays the song and keeps the kick, clap, snare, and hat thing popped up

  • @phosch22

I think thats because you dragged just a regular song over. Not a midi. Same thing happened to me.

  • @arthatis how to you make it a midi?

  • I have watched a lot of your videos i love them, quick question how long did it take you to get this good on fl studio?

  • watch?v=llZredmRPcc music i made with FL studio

  • im having a problem when i select "create one chanel per track" it does not do it. it keeps all the tracks mashed together. i have tried with several difforent midi files and the same thing happens. maby im missing somthing?

  • Hi, I seem to be having a problem with Midi Files. I think it must be set up or something, because when I drag a Midi File over, I get the options you do, and everything loads up great, it's just I have NO sound. the midi file is playing, and loading say a Kick underneath all the instruments in midi file song, I can hear that, just not the midi.

Do you know what I am doing wrong? Bearing in mind I am loading Exactly as you are, and Downloading from Music Robot. I have tried a few. Thanks

  • @cbr1000rr5 I explained all this detail - just start from the beginning and pay closer attention. I focus on all the issues you are having. Those are the most common problems that people encounter when they import midi files. Conceptually, it's a bit difficult to understand the technical issues. It's really would require a couple pages of technical details to explain it without a visual too.

  • Lex Luger makes dozens of beats a day and he's got a few hits

  • where can you get some good sound packs/instruments and how do you open a rar file in fl studio

  • Could you tell me where to get MIDI files for songs? Thanks

  • this dude sounds like steven seagal xD

  • Yes, thanks- removed the link. The website was taking up too much time and money without much return. Looking for a free, easy to manage,Blog or web service that will let me share large files with at least 5 gigs of webspace..but have not found anything yet.

  • your link to your site does not work as it says page not found.

  • So you can make a music box version of a song with this technique? I've been looking for ways to make a music box version of songs to sound relaxing and for those who want to listen. I just want to be able to use the piano track and turn it to a music box sound.

  • I'd swear you could be the Nelson the warbeats guy... you're both super awesome !!

  • @kevp951 he is..

  • Can I make my own soundfonts with Slicex samples?

  • Comment removed

  • meeen :( i can't download midi track :( plyz help me :(

  • Question . . . Where Did You Get Those MIDI Files

  • How You Can Get Thoso MidiFiles ?

  • Thank u

  • is this the demo or the complete fl studio 9??

  • Any word on when your site is going to be back up so I can download some Soundfonts? Thanks in advance

  • @DjBBKTeeVee People have been falling for what would seem to be a scam, that is asking them to post the following comment on any 5 videos at youtube.com “Type gift before youtube.com.” - Several people who have done this are already reporting that their youtube account has been banned as a result.

  • @ste1438 o_0 oh sorry man, much respect to you, sir. thanks for your stuff, really helpful

  • @DjBBKTeeVee No need to apologize - I was only posting what I read about it myself as a warning to others.

  • This is a great tutorial!! one of the best i have seen yet and will be great help for me as i am only starting out and will make things alot easier for me, thanks for your help!! :)

  • I have the following problem - I use a lot of different sound generators and many of them overlap and mute important parts of the songs and it is real headache to adjust the correct volume of each...

  • how do u sample hooks and put it to the beat

  • @jerk1259 That has nothing to do with this video. Try beginner video 2. All you need to do is is Sample it and slice it. Very easy.

  • how do i make a midi file?

  • m your big fan can u tell me how to make acapella without having a instrumental song

can u suggest a good software of vsti plugin for making removeing back ground music thanks in advance i am sure u gonna help me out

    peace out

  • @chocolateboyraunak You can't extract vocals on most songs. Save your self a lot of grief by getting ready made vocal tracks. They are called "DJ mix tapes", Original "Studio acappella" /Vocal tracks. Search google For "DJ Mix Tapes".

  • For watever reason i cant download this vid from keepvid.....

  • nice

  • Say you have a song on itunes saved as mp3 or whatever... not midi anyway. Is there a way of changing the file into midi or can you only obtain a midi file buy buying it?

    Thanks :)

  • @KillTheFiasco There is no way of converting MP3's to a midi file. There are some transcription software that will dump the tones - thats not going to give you good results. Professional midi files of the latest music can be really expensive too. There are tons of midi files out there though, you should be able to find something you like. When I need something specific, and there is no midi - I usually will get the sheet music and sequence it. That takes a lot of work.

  • @ste1438 Thanks :). I'm sure you'd know this but if you remix, with an acapella i'm alright (just starting off xD) and with a full song I'm... well.. not amazing.

    /watch?v=YyDMy1ypG5Y

If you listen to that, how did they manage to make the beats heavier?

This is really hard to explain :L; I tried to just make a beat and align but the thing is, I split up the track to make it sound more original and now it's not perfectly aligned for me to be able to insert beats and make it sound good. =[

  • @KillTheFiasco I know what you mean - Acapeellas are extremely hard to line up with the tempo. Sometimes the track will start in sync, but drift off too. Vocal loops don't have good beat slice markers. The way I deal with it - I fine tune the timing by slicing sections that are out of sync and sliding without any snap settings. I zoom in max to get a lot of precision. Sometime I increase my PPQ. I prefer to work with a live singer whenever possible though - acaellas are limiting too.

  • why midi i do remakes by listening

  • @bolpkia951 Are you a professional music transcriber? Thoae are the only people that do that? Even music transcribers struggle for days converting what they hear to sheet music. Especially when there is more than one instrument. Plucking out the notes for some virtuoso piano music is virtually impossible, without slowing the track to a crawl. It can take days. Why do that when you an just import a midi file? Why don't you at least sequence from sheet music? Your wasting your time.

  • @ste1438 Do keep in mind that transcribing an entire composition is a lot different then playing a single instrument by ear too. Even in that case, most guitarists and drummers prefer to read sheet music. Why do you think there are so many TABS out there? As a piano player, I will look for a midi or the sheet music before I try to transcribe it by ear.

  • @ste1438 i make my remakes like 2 or 3 days? i have school plus i dunno where to find midis

  • yea i dont this video doesnt want to play i even googled it and on another website it doesnt play

  • @Sincere1645 Down for me too - The word, "remake" in the title probably triggered some YouTube auto-delete or something - even though I stayed within guidelines. It might work again later.

  • Excellent tutorial.....could you let me know wer did you download these soundfonts from.....plzzzzzz

  • hey there ste1438 um this is just a question but doesnt have anything to do with video really its just like alot of tutorials are about makin r'n'b , hip hop and dance music house music and trance do you think u could make some tutorials on how to make other genres of music like um gospel, rock, motown, raggae, blues, pop like could show us how to u know put a project together to get those types of genres on fl studio just wondering or do u know where there are some tutorials already

  • @takatohia Most people are covering trance and hip hop - I don't know of any good tutorials covering any other. You can use the midi import to learn a little more about some other genres. Rock and blues is difficult because it's really hard to simulate guitars in any computer music application. Although acoustic guitars and bass guitar can sound pretty good. Gospel would be great because pianos, organs, and strings sound terrific. I think NFX covers the blues scale in one of his videos.

  • Can u please send me some of your MIDI files? i really would want some. oh and by the way, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! YOU R AMAZING AT MAKING THESE VIDEOS! THANK U SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS!

  • Subscribed !!

  • Hands down, best tutorial on youtube.

  • Posted the Batman 1960 themesong remaster as a new video reply. you Just need to approve it now. :) oh and anyone who views please visit my channel and check out my songs and subscribe :)

  • how can i get the sounds you have

  • wow, I had no idea FL Studio could do this with MIDI files.

    thank you!

  • what is a midi file?

  • i already knew how to do all this but your voice is awesome so i'm watching the whole thing

  • good videos all of them !

i have a problem now, when i load midi's like that they all drop into the same track.

yesterday the same midi broke into multiple tracks that I could work with.

now when i drop them they go into the same track, and there's no option to even check fruity lsd .

I don't know how to break them apart any advice ?

  • @clandeathbox doh i figured it out! I was dropping them onto the pattern sequencer. for anyone that runs into the problem I talked about just make sure you don't drop the midi onto the pattern or it will go into one track

  • Yes - don't drop on the sequencer unless you want to import a single track.

  • I thought it was just me,that thought this was nfx.:p

  • wow what an amazing tutorial

  • You are a superstar mate! Thanks for that.

  • very useful

  • Why do you have to use an midi file for this, can't you just use mp3 or wav?

  • MIDI isn't sound its only data so you tweak it however.

  • @AltronGenuous13 This is so you don't end violating a copyright. If you can find a royalty free mp3 or wav that you can use that is fine, but many people want to choose. Not just settle for a music track because it is royalty free. To do that ,you can easily produce it yourself.

  • This is just what I wanted, cheers!

  • I know this might be beyond FL Studio, but how do you turn an MP3/WAV into a midi file?

  • There is "wav to midi" software out there, but the results are not accurate. To work ,some one would have to figure out a way to separate all the tracks of a wav file first. And figure out how to separate those tracks with perfect quality. Then each track could be converted to a midi file. WAV to Midi only works well on solo instuments. Melodyne is pretty accurate when it comes to doing this. The best way is to transcribe it from sheet music or pluck out all the notes by ear.

  • as far as I know, you can't

  • dats how U do it

  • The point of doing remakes is to dissect music so you can learn from it level by level. Importing MIDI files kinda defeats the purpose. Sure you can learn from looking at the information in the file, but you won't learn as much if you do it yourself. Still, there was a lot of interesting information in this video.

  • @FlacoTV It is a great way to learn about how songs are put together - It's good for getting lots of practice in mastering too. most projects from scratch don't ever make it this far. Anyone that is truly interested in learning will study the imported midi file. Also great for people that only need a quick song for some reason. Good for vocal artist to create music to add vocals too.

  • LOOOL Man! When you search i.e. u2 in "Band" option you will get a 1040 songs.. Just one more click you needed ;)

  • @KocaMetallec Yeah - I figured that out after I reviewed the video. I might have to take the video down because of that stupid mistake.

  • @ste1438

LOL, its nothing man.. Don't do it.. Beginners can learn much from this video... Even I learned about clear events :) Tnx for that ! :)

  • @KocaMetallec - I just added an annotation - that will work.

  • Beethoven Midi files? Where did you get them?!?!

  • i think you only get one hit under "band" because its a folder for the band... the number 1040 signifies the number of hits inside the folder

  • @gix10000 You are right - it is a link to another list - I didn't realize that.

  • haha... well we're all only human ;)

  • thanks for the video i've learned something today.

but can we create midi files? or we only can download them?

  • @i68ll FL Studio can export midi files too - very good if you want to transfer data from FL Studio to other sequencers.

  • @i68ll

    Yes, in Guitar Pro :)

  • hey whats syntracks(sp?) i heard you mention it, and ive heard of it before but i dunno where

  • send tracks

  • this isn't nfx? wow...same quality video ( a GOOD thing), and the voice sounds the same haha...-> i like this a lot! :-)

  • in no time flat and the video was still 25 minutes xD no offense ste...i love ur vids!!! was just makin a joke =)

  • damm he really do sound like nfx and they both got the long ass videos (very help btw)

  • @MurdaMichaelBeats & @JahLoveOnline, it actually is the same guy. I saw a lot of his nfx videos and happened upon one of these...for whatever reason, they're both him.

  • Aggressive?

You're right on point! But I would just ignore that comment altogether, that this critic is more of a reflection of his own attitude and not the guy doing the video.

  • Thanks again for the great video!

  • I always thought that, lol.

  • @MurdaMichaelBeats, I was thinkin the same thing
