  • Shit yes! MSB was the soundtrack to my younger life!

  • Thank you, Jonah Koslen. If you had done nothing else in this life, which of course isn't true, but had you done nothing but write this song, it would have been enough.

  • @lebarosky what? it credits michael as the writer and lyricist in most places ive seen, like the album

  • @hirskdubbi Ya guess I was wrong can't erase stupid YouTube posts mores the pity.

  • @lebarosky huh?

  • Just saw Dan Pecchio (former original MS bass player) with Phil Keaggy & Glass Harp on 6/29 in Roxana, IL

  • Walsh was helping produce with Michael, and I believe that is his playing slide

  • KSHE Classic!

  • great song been a fave of mine since the 80's haven't heard walsh's version

  • Joe Walsh version is many times better.

  • Wow! It's great to hear this again!

  • WOW! It's great to hear this again! And yes, it's pretty obvious that Joe Walsh is playing guitar on this one. You can also hear him on one of Wilson Phillips songs!

  • Any MSB fan would know this is the first song on the first side of the first Micheal Stanley album.

  • Any Michal Stanley would know'''this is the first song on the first side of the first Michael Stanley album. i dislike hearing these first notes on XM radio thinking i am gong to hear this version, and then it's Joe Walsh. can you tell I have been a fan of Michael for more than a few years.

  • would really like to here Joe Walsh's version from his album. Come on Youtuber's somebody has to have it. I lost mine in a fire. Great song.

  • @fallof68 I have a perfect version of it just don't know how to upload it or if I can???

  • @Cadillac472500

Lucky you... would love to here it. :)

I'm surprised how hard it is to find on line.

  • great song. has this LP been reissued? never even seen a copy.

  • Very nice piece of music. I've only just recently (like in the last five minutes) been introduced to them, and all I can say is this is one group that deserves more notice than it seems to have received. I wonder if any of their records are on wider release now? I may go get one or two.

  • Joe didn't do a remake, he wrote the song!

And Joe is a great dude, not a jackoff!

    Small minded little twit !

  • @rockrebel49 Perhaps you should read the liner notes on Joe's Confessor album.....

    Michael Stanley wrote the song.

  • @rockrebel49

Michael Stanley wrote the song. Look it up for yourself!

  • it's great to be in cleveland!!

  • Joe Walsh did a remake of this fine tune...Joe is on this version as well (the 12 string slide...the one in the left speaker)

  • @blairzel Is it really a remake when he wrote it!?!?

  • There's somethin bout a sad song that helps to ease the pain.

  • i can't seem to find the joe walsh cover on here =(

  • @mufarious - It's on his album The Confessor.

  • Joe Walsh does a better cover than the original

  • this is my favorite MSB song..my husband like Beautiful Lies..We saw Michael Stanley at the Cleveland House of Blues 2 years ago.

  • I wish someone would post "Beautiful Lies" it is my husband's favorite.

  • Oh my......Take me back....please

  • Aint that the truth!!! I sure miss the 80's, the music, Blossom Music Center. DAMNNNN I wanna go back...lol

  • this was by far one of the best msb tunes.. thanks for postin.. just like back in 9th grade in Brunswick ohio.

  • KSHE 95 in St. Louis played this first, Michael acknowledged this recently. God Bless Missouri!

  • If only KSHE had consistent good taste it showed in its heyday. Or someone with a knowledge of good music (Radio Rich) to do the Classics show.

Oh, for the days of stations playing album-oriented rock format.

  • Man isn't that the truth! Bring back the old granny playin air guitar commercials too! ha ha ha Good times.

  • You are so right, I grew up in St. Louis, then

moved to Ohio. St. Louis kinda got stuck in a rut,

and the stations in Ohio played a lot more variety.

Still love my KSHE bumper sticker.

  • That's how I first heard it. It was love at first note. <3

  • Yes, BIG thank you. This is the good version of the song. I have memories of swimming in the river, getting high with all my buds, and listening to this song all summer. Must have been a hundred years ago, it seems.

  • TY for posting this song. I 've only been able to find the Joe Walsh version online until now.
